Hotel Funivia is a family friendly hotel and spa at the base of the Bormio ski area. However, in summer, the hotel has a wonderful focus on cycling in a region famous for the Stelvio, Mortirolo, and Gavia passes. The hotel features special bike rates that include guided rides, with food, water and equipment carried via van with your extra... More

I've just returned from a 5 day trip to a cycling Mecca. I cycled the Stelvio, Gavia and the Mortirolo. We were guided expertly on routes by the hotel riders and when it rained they wash and dry your kit ( they dry your shoes too). There's a place to to assemble your bikes, clean and service them, you really... More

This was a great hotel. I went as part of a cycling trip, so they provided daily organized rides, good routes for when you didn't want to ride with the group, fantastic food and a nice clean room. I would love to go back there again, there are a few mountains I wasn't able to do, so I'll be back... More

We stayed at the Hotel Funivia for one week in July and had a truly outstanding vacation. We were there to cycle and took advantage of their 'bike rate'. Everything was so well organized for a perfect cycling vacation. There is a group ride everyday that is fully supported (with a van that carries snacks, your change of clothes, etc).... More

We stayed at the Funivia for a week's cycling with friends at the end of May. And that is what the hotel does really really well! From the brand new Scott road bike that I hired at a reasonable price, the large comfortable rooms, the fabulous meals, the cycling guides and organised rides they offer every day, the comfortable and... Fabulous , fabulous , fabulous !!!!, We recently stayed at this unbelievably great hotel for a week as a group of 12 cyclists, aged from 30 years to 65 years, all family and friends to celebrate my husbands 60th Birthday and cross off the list the big mountain climbs of Italy, It also happened to be a stage of the... I've just spent a week at Funivia with a cycling club mate on a half board basis. The rooms was large and clean, beds were comfortable and the shower was good. The small window did not have curtains for some reason but the outside shutters did the job. There was no air con (not surprising for a chalet style development)... More

Second year here in a row, this time for two weeks, and we enjoyed it just as much. Outstanding food and accommodation, first class guided and van-supported bike tours each day, very welcoming family atmosphere (grazie mille Daniele, Elisa and family!) and friendly and efficient multilingual staff. Many amazing mountains to ride of course! Every detail is provided for cyclists... More

Returned to enjoy another fabulous holiday with Eliza, Danielle and their friendly, helpful staff. Terrific Chalet hotel in perfect Alpine village of Bormio. Very comfortable and clean hotel with delicious meals. They are wonderfully set up for cyclists with a comprehensive bike garage (incl bike hire and mechanic service), guided rides, cycling snacks and afternoon tea (Italian style) and free... More
