The property was excellent. I liked the environment. The hotel had a beautiful location. You can do a lot of sports around there. Like cycling, skiing, walking. Whatever you like. I liked it very much. I recommend it to everyone.

I was looking for a nice hotel in Bormio, from where I could climb the famous Giro d'Italia passes in the surroundings. I was not just looking for a place to sleep however. It had to be pleasant to reside, with good food being served and everything that is needed to make for a great holiday. What I experienced when... More

I went here with a friend with our racing bikes to conquer the Stelvio, Umbrail, Gavia and Mortirolo. This hotel is extreme biker friendly and complete! They have all the tools you need in case of a breakdown and a high secured bike room. Outside you can wash your bike and there is also a washing service for bike clothes... More

We had a really lovely stay at Hotel La Genzianella. The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The town is fun to explore. The mountains are beautiful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. But--the food! It is divine! With three chefs on staff and their own private garden, La Genzianella puts out some of the best food in Italy including... More

Only positive comment! The hotel is run by mother, son and two daughters, + staff, each of them being very passionate, hard working, professional and always friendly. Also everything is as clean as can be (from the room to the restaurant, the breakfast corner, the lobby & bar, the spa) which made us feel very comfortable. Very good bed! The... More

Great hospitality, wonderful food and service. The perfect getaway for me (cyclist) and my wife (non cyclist). Incredible bike facilities and access to some of the best climbs in Europe; great access to the town and all it's facilities. We will be back

We stayed in La Genzianella with our Tour des Amis in 2010 and that was beautiful. Very nice staff and a good diner and breakfast; i remember the best "ossobuco" ever.. From this hotel you can drive "Passo Stelvio", like we did with our Cabrio's; wonderfull!

5 stars for DESIGN. this hotel is not overly fancy or luxe, but the decor extremely well designed. i am a pretty harsh critic when it comes to design and i really loved everything about la genzianella. the lobby / bar area are adorable. the restaurant was really well designed with great food. our two rooms had recently been remodeled... For us 'five stars' or 'luxury' are not titles that make a hotel stay memorable. Easy friendliness, professionalism and a willingness to share information about the special features of an area are what make a visit to be remembered and this we found to an exceptional degree when we stayed at La Genzianella. As an added bonus, the food is... More

This is a very solid hotel. It represents a good value. We had a lovely view of the mountains. After staying in a series of 4-star hotels, this 3-star hotel was a little smaller and a little less luxurious. For example, the bathroom had the equivalent of cruise-ship shower and no bath. The rooms were quiet. The beds were a... More
