For the fouth year, we visited this gem in Bordighera at the Italian riviera. This "old fashioned" hotel is located in probaly one of the best spots in Bordighera, just a short walk from either old town, or town center. Old fashioned, shouldn't be read in critical terms, instead it's ment with great love. The hotel premises, embrace you with... More

There is a debate that Bordighera might be in decline, and there could be some truth in that, but the Hotel Villa Elisa has its star still in the ascendancy. Charming, considerate service from the largely family-staffed hotel in a lovely backstreet setting with a wonderful pool where lunch is served from 12.30 to 2.00. Timings are strict but the... More

This was a lovely hotel with a perfect location for visiting family. The rooms were comfortable and breakfast fantastic. Whilst not on the sea front it is within 5 minutes walk. It is a very beautiful area and lovely villages and towns nearby to explore

Just came back for the 10-12th time, always great to be met by the two generations of family owners - the same good food and service, and with a specialization of taking guest for hikes in the nearby hills and mountains, lunches at small wineries or little villages nested on the hilltops. A bit warm for such hikes now in... More

I have stayed in this hotel many times, by far the nicest and the staff could not be more helpful. The staff very kindly organised a mini bus to take us to Monaco. Family run which you can tell by the way you are treated. Many thanks for a lovely stay. Graham F

I am so sorry for the delay in writing this. This was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. The beds were extremely comfortable, the food excellent and the staff - above an beyond anything we have ever encountered. Would we recommend - 100%. Will we return - 110% We had a balcony at the front of... More

Great location (walking distance to town), very close to France and two beautiful villages in the mountains: Apricale and Dolceaqua- both must be visited. In fact I would recommend staying in Apricale but book early. Good breakfast although you only get one coffee. Tea is free instead. The pool is small but good enough to wet yourself. It is set... Villa Elisa is a beautiful old building surrounded by lovely gardens full of flowers and orange trees. Our first impressions were very good, the young woman on reception (with the tiny dog!) was extremely helpful and friendly and a credit to Villa Elisa. We had reserved a superior room in the main part of the house, whose communal areas were... More

We absolutely loved this well run hotel. It will definitely get 5 stars form me if the rooms are renovated with more luxurious style. The Room We had a suite with a separate seating area, bedroom, 2 bathrooms and a big balcony facing south. The room was clean and the maintenance was good. Few things that would make the room... We stayed here for a few days whilst touring the Italian Riviera. We had read reviews and were not disappointed by what we found. Friendly staff, very relaxed surroundings, clean spacious rooms and good food. The hotel is really well located, an easy walk to the beach and the very interesting old town. It also boasts it's own pool which... More
