It was a nice clean hotel, with spacious rooms. Th food was good, so was the service in the restaurant. Not enough parking at the hotel, or on the side street, which was very annoying. Even though it is on a very busy main road it was quiet enough with windows closed.

Hark back to the spendours of 19th Century Bordighera in this nice old villa. Lovely leafy area, pretty grounds and free parking (tho best to call ahead to reserve this, not so many spaces). It's a relaxing place to stay and a few slightly off furnishings (plastic flowers, dodgy 'portraits') don't really distract. The receptionist was charming, helpful and amusing.

The hotel as others have said is nicely situated in a pleasant garden. However it is quite a walk to the centre and there is nothing nearby in case you need last minute toileteries (which were not really supplied) ! The decor is quaint and turn of the century. Pity about the fake flowers. Our superior room was small but... More

Without a doubt, whatever it is you expect or you want, you can find it at Villa Elisa. This is a family own operation. We are so pleased with this property, its amenities and its staff we have returned 4 times in the last 3 years. The hospitality is extraordinary and guests can ask, and receive, whatever assistance they require... More

It was the second time we visit Villa Elisa. It's one of the best hotels left in Bordighera. Good location, old charming and very friendly staff. This time we lived at their special house /B&B/ next to the pool. We will surely come back! I have some allergi against weat, milk - and they fixed it without problem. Very service... More

Bordighera is a charming Ligurian town on the Italian Riviera, a peaceful seaside resort with wonderful villas gracing the lovely Via Romana, complete with palm trees and umbrella pines. The Villa Elisa, on this pretty street, is a simply perfect hotel. The Villa, situated on several levels on the hillside, not only has excellent rooms with balconies overlooking the town... More

This hotel clearly use to be a private home. The gardens are lovingly kept. The front garden is lush and wonderful with pathways throughout. As you turn a corner, you will see a small table and 2 chairs set for a little quiet moment. The rear of the hotel has a well-tended herb garden and a tree-shaded area set with... More

We stayed for 3 nights and found the hotel to work very well for us. Yes the hotel is slightly dated but it all works. Our room had a balcony at the front of the hotel. We needed to keep the door open at night so there was some noise, this didn't stop us from sleeping. The plus points were... More

For the fouth year, we visited this gem in Bordighera at the Italian riviera. This "old fashioned" hotel is located in probaly one of the best spots in Bordighera, just a short walk from either old town, or town center. Old fashioned, shouldn't be read in critical terms, instead it's ment with great love. The hotel premises, embrace you with... More

There is a debate that Bordighera might be in decline, and there could be some truth in that, but the Hotel Villa Elisa has its star still in the ascendancy. Charming, considerate service from the largely family-staffed hotel in a lovely backstreet setting with a wonderful pool where lunch is served from 12.30 to 2.00. Timings are strict but the... More
