We stayed at the Hotel Columbus for one night and loved the location. The hotel fronts a lovely flower-filled square/park and the lakeside, with its cafes and little beach. We had a triple on the second floor and it was comfortable, replete with a deck (which we did not use, as the view from the deck was not particularlyt interesting...

A tourist hotel near to Lake Bolsena and about 10 minutes walk from the old centre of this lakeside town. The hotel is traditional and starting to show its age (70's/80's refurbishment??). There was a group (coach?) staying and we appeared to be the only indendent travellers. However it was excellent value at only 60 Euros for a double room...
