The positives: beautiful, tranquil settings, a lovely garden for a good quality, varied breakfast (though careful non smokers, as smoking is allowed in the open, which could be the table next to yours), lovely historic building with furniture to match, smiling and helpful service staff. The negatives: we were staying in one of the "turret" rooms, which means: - steep... More

We had a room in the 'turret' - I understand features may differ for other rooms. The positives: - Great, double sided view: the big mountains to the North and the valley and hills to the South. - Quite large room and decidely large bathroom with efficient shower - Charming setting (old villa). It was lovely to have breakfast outdoor.... More

Lovely big room with a view of the mountains, really helpful and friendly staff who have the attitude of nothing being too much trouble, amazing shower, really fantastic breakfast.. we had a three course breakfast everyday! We attended a wedding here and I would also recommend it as a great wedding venue.

We will definitely come back. Great location to stay at while traveling around the dolomite region. Quite, modern, clean, affordable rooms in an easy to find location. Best of all the staff are all sincerely friendly and helpful.

Hotel Villa Carpenda is a charming, former country villa of an Arch Bishop, in Belluno. Despite nowadays being surrounded by suburban sprawl and minor roads, it manages to maintain its sense of being apart and in the countryside. This is due to its elevated position looking across the beautiful valley of the River Piave. In December when we visited, clouds... More

We selected Park Hotel Villa Carpenada because we would be driving north from Venice wanted to park ourselves early afternoon. I can't recall what room we had but it was second floor on the corner with a private door to a large balcony. We asked and staff was helpful to bring a table and two chairs up! Room was amazing... The hotel is a converted monastery with an interesting history. It is located near the town of Belluno. It is a short drive to hiking. The room we were in was the matrimonial room. It had a king sized bed, lovely view and beautiful light. It was quite comfortable. The bathroom was modern albeit small. The restaurant was beautifully appointed and... More

This hotel was on the outskirts of Belluno. A bit tired but the rooms were very nice. Our only COMPLAINT we arrived on a Sunday night after touring all day to find that their dining room was closed Sunday nights. The front desk did recommend a good dinner in town. (La Buca). One of us had to be the DD.... More

The hotel occupies a lovely old building on the slopes above Belluno. The rooms are comfortable and tastefully furnished, with modern bathrooms, free wifi, and expansive views. A restaurant serves a copious breakfast and dinner, but was closed at lunchtime during our weekend visit. There is a pleasant outdoor terrace. The hotel is quiet and located well outside the town... This hotel is a converted monastery. Gives you an ancient Italian renaissance experience. Gave me a unique experience compared to the new hotels.Quite homely as well as special. Beautiful views of the Dolomites from my room, excellent for skiing (my passion) and mountain climbing. Near the town of Belluno but a little outside of town.
