Hotel Villa Carpenda is a charming, former country villa of an Arch Bishop, in Belluno. Despite nowadays being surrounded by suburban sprawl and minor roads, it manages to maintain its sense of being apart and in the countryside. This is due to its elevated position looking across the beautiful valley of the River Piave. In December when we visited, clouds... More

We selected Park Hotel Villa Carpenada because we would be driving north from Venice wanted to park ourselves early afternoon. I can't recall what room we had but it was second floor on the corner with a private door to a large balcony. We asked and staff was helpful to bring a table and two chairs up! Room was amazing... The hotel is a converted monastery with an interesting history. It is located near the town of Belluno. It is a short drive to hiking. The room we were in was the matrimonial room. It had a king sized bed, lovely view and beautiful light. It was quite comfortable. The bathroom was modern albeit small. The restaurant was beautifully appointed and... More

This hotel was on the outskirts of Belluno. A bit tired but the rooms were very nice. Our only COMPLAINT we arrived on a Sunday night after touring all day to find that their dining room was closed Sunday nights. The front desk did recommend a good dinner in town. (La Buca). One of us had to be the DD.... More

The hotel occupies a lovely old building on the slopes above Belluno. The rooms are comfortable and tastefully furnished, with modern bathrooms, free wifi, and expansive views. A restaurant serves a copious breakfast and dinner, but was closed at lunchtime during our weekend visit. There is a pleasant outdoor terrace. The hotel is quiet and located well outside the town... This hotel is a converted monastery. Gives you an ancient Italian renaissance experience. Gave me a unique experience compared to the new hotels.Quite homely as well as special. Beautiful views of the Dolomites from my room, excellent for skiing (my passion) and mountain climbing. Near the town of Belluno but a little outside of town.

We arrived at the hotel expecting a vast beautiful experience having read all the reviews on tripadvisor. On arrival we were told we were in the annex and not the hotel. The receptionist took us to show us the room in the annex which was essentially fine although two single beds and not the double I was sure we booked... More

Comfortable rooms and nice people. Quiet and good beds. Couple rooms have big bathrooms too. Very nice outside seating for breakfast and dinner. I recommend this to people passing by this area on the road to the dolomite.

I stay in Belluno several times a year and Always stay here. The hotel is in an old mansion and the facilities are 1st class. The staff is aways trying to go the extra steps to make the stay great. They have a nice restaurant onsite for dinner and the food is very good. No visit to this area would... More

This hotel definitely deserves it's Number 1 TripAdvisor status! The interior decor is of an excellent standard throughout. The hotel generously upgraded us to a suite, to avoid the noise from a function, and the room was very well appointed. (The only minor problem, the shower offered a range of complex options, but the simpler options did not function as... More
