We have stayed here for 5 nights while visiting my family in Ascoli Piceno. The whole house has loads of interesting objects that would make you stop and analyse it. Salvatore is such a wonderful host and serves very delicious and healthy breakfast (and proudly grows his own basil). He also gives great tips on where to go and eat!!!

Salvatore is a wonderful host - the greatest, delicious breakfast served outside in the sun; indications for restaurants, a great aperitif bar, directions to the stairs down into the city which are right outside the gate. Super-modern bathrooms and great bedrooms with comfortable beds, nice common spaces. Good parking, easy to find.

Villa Fortenza has it all--great location & views, quiet & peaceful, parking, short walk (via 300+ stairs) into town which was a fun adventure & we're over 70. Salvatore is a wonderful host! Our room faced town & had an ensuite bathroom with a large soaking tub--heavenly! We will definitely return!

Villa Fortezza is a totally unique experience. A contemporary house, high on a hill overlooking the city of Ascoli Piceno, with beautiful views of the city. The house is like a curio shop, full of diverse and interesting artifacts and art works. The owner, Salvatore is a wonderful host. He gave us much helpful information and also allows for free... I wish I didn't have to tell about Villa Fortezza, because I wish I could keep this place all to ourselves. We traveled here to seek out a bridge painted by my father in 1962. He painted it from a postcard his mother had given him of her hometown, Ascoli Piceno. It has hung over our family's mantle for 50... More

Wonderful location above Ascoli Piceno with access to the centre of town by a long flight of steps (over 400). Modern, spacious villa filled with captivating and quixotic works of art and sculpure both inside and in the garden. Salvatore is a perfect host, welcoming arrivals with tea and Italian cakes. Bedrooms are sylish with comfortable beds; mine had a... More

What a joy! The wonderful adventure starts with the warm welcome you receive the moment you arrive at Villa Fortezza. As you take in the commanding view over Ascoli Piceno, Salvatore gently leads you thru the lookinglass and "things get curioser and curioser." Mannequins beckon, curios abound, whirleygigs hang suspended from the ceiling, a dentist's chair invites...and then on up... More

Simply perfect! Salvatore is a great host, and Villa Fortezza is a wonderful place to stay! - really cool house, with awesome furniture and a lot of art - waking distance to the city center - very close, you only have to walk down (or up) around 300 stairs, but it's worth it! :-) - nice breakfast on the terrace...
