My wife and I stayed at this hotel on our recent trip to Tuscany. We were thoroughly impressed by the location, the hotel and the staff. The accommodations are great although it is really the grounds, the restaurant and the friendly staff that separate this place from others.

What a lovely little hotel. Very nice family italian service. It's an old 17th century monastery with lots of stone, big beams etc. Eating in the vaulted cellar was outstanding, and the food very good. A very beautiful hotel, with good service, and probably one of the best cappuccinos I've ever had at breakfast. Well recommended.

The staff are excellent, friendly, helpful and efficient. The restaurant is very good. The location is beautiful and tranquil, with wonderful views over Arezzo and the surrounding countryside from the pool. We loved the building itself, simple and historical. The meadows around the hotel are full of butterflies in summer. We did not have a car and Valentina's shuttle bus... More

The place is big stone old and monastic. And its situation is fantastic. way up on the hills overlooking Arezzo. Hard to find. The trick is to find Via de Redi and turn left at the sign to Pomaio not afterwards. And keep going. Up and up and up -and up. The staff make this place. Joseph Fiori and Valentina... More

Excellent and friendly service in the resturant and at the desk. Lovely rooms with fabulous views over Arezzo. Easy access into center city, less than 15 minutes. The first time it can be a little challenging to find, but not too bad. Excellent dinner menu, try the wrapped pork and the duck carpaccio salad, if they are available...and if you... More

We stayed at the Badia for several nights during our honeymoon in May 2012. Our travel agent reccomended this as the best place in the area and of all of our stops in Italy, this was the one he gave us no other options for. He insisted it was the best. As a couple that generally stays in large brand-name... More

we used this as our base for 6 days of touring around Tuscany and Umbria and couldn't have asked for a more serene and tranquil place to return to each evening. the location is not easy to find as it is about 5 km up the hill side on a very narrow and winding road with hair pin turns. Do... More

We stayed at the Badia for 3 nights in early September. It is a great place to get away from it all. The hotel is 6 kms up the hill and overlooks Arezzo. The grounds are quite large and the pool is huge and is open 24 hours per day, all year. The price includes a decent breakfast and they... More

We stayed here on two occasions during a visit to Tuscany this summer. We were warmly welcomed the first time but when we returned for another short stay a week later, it felt as though we were visiting friends. The staff were wonderful - friendly and so helpful. My husband left an expensive camera in a taxi which ferried us... More
