Set in the countryside less than 10 minutes from Arezzo, this lovely B&B has three comfortable rooms with modern conveniences in a house built on the 1,000-year-old foundations of an old grist mill.Owner Cinzia Bartolini -- a wonderful baker -- puts up a sumptuous morning buffet of fresh pastries, bread and cakes, cheeses, cold cuts and jams. The beds are... More

We stayed here years ago and still talk about how amazing it was. It is perhaps the best breakfast I have ever had at a B&B. cynzia has all sorts of goodies locally sourced from the neighborhood and we enjoyed all of it. Like every says, it is a little outside of the city but well worth the charm of... More

La Chiusa dei Monaci is a lovely little sanctuary outside of the historical city of Arezzo. It's about 4km from the city and easily accessible by car or by bike that can be borrowed at the B&B. La Chiusa is located next to a river and the sound of water was so therapeutic. La Chiusa dei Monaci is translated as... More

There aren't words to properly express the hospitality we received at La Chiusa dei Monaci. From the moment I sent my email requesting information until the thank you email I received upon my departure and every interaction in between, was flawless and easy. For 20 years I've dreamed of spending my 50th Birthday in Tuscany. Choosing the proper place to... More

We enjoyed our stay very much. The host Cinzia took very special care of us and our 4- year old daughter. We appreciated sweet and salty breakfasts with high quality local products and home made pies and cookies. The room was very clean and nice. Arezzo is just 5 minutes by car. We felt very comfortable, our daughter too: she... More

Cinzia is a wonderful hostess--warm, talented at decorating, a terrific cook and a great help at planning our 6 day stay. We now consider her a treasured friend along with her husband Giorgio and their family. Arezzo is a great spot to base yourself to visit nearby attractions like Cortona (a lovely little hill town), Florence (an hour by train),... More

Our trip in Italy allowed us a stopover in Arezzo to allow us to take a wine tour in Tuscany (through Tuscanmagic) and through my research on Tripadvisor I found Chiusa dei Monaci and it had excellent reviews and I know why!! Cinzia is an amazing hostess who is so energetic and compassionate about her home town and really loves... More

We stayed with Cinzia at her lovely B&B for five nights. Our bedroom was spacious and clean with a wonderful bed. Cinzia is very warm and works very hard to please her guests. All the morning baked goods are made from scratch by her along with the homemade jams. Her assistance with activities and recommendations for local restaurants were very... More

This is a good day for us - It's the day we get to write our review of Chiusa dei Monaci...or as we've grown fond of saying, the "Chiusa dei Cinzia!" There is no doubt it is her personality that is stamped on this ancient mill, and that's a wonderful thing for us and all travelers who are lucky enough... More

Last weekend we stayed at La Chiusa dei Monaci for the second time. Our stay was just as wonderful as the first. We felt like we were visiting family we hadn't seen in a long while. Cinzia came out to greet us with her captivating smile, hugs, and kisses. We were placed in a different room this time, but it... More
