We stayed for 4 nights whilst touring around the area. It is very easy to visit Cortona, and Perugia The hotel is just on the outside of Arezzo situated on a hill overlooking the vines. There are great views from the terraces. The staff are extremely helpful. We eat in the restaurant twice and the food was excellent. We really... More

We booked a last minute trip to Tuscany and finding this hotel was pure fluke. We had a really lovely time here, it's a great location to explore from, whilst having the peace and quiet and views you'd expect of Tuscany. Free shuttle into Arezzo available morning and early evening, and not expensive to get a taxi back. Wouldn't walk... More

We literally stumbled onto Villa Cilnia after cancelling a reservation at a hotel further away from Arezzo, that would not work with our "no-car" situation. WHAT A FIND! This place could write the book on customer service and helpfulness. From being greeted with freshly made expresso while we were checking in, to bringing a beautiful salad and antipasto plate to... We stayed at the Villa Cilinia for only two days mid June, I wish it could have been more! The facilities are wonderful, the beautiful outdoor pool, the spa and the gorgeous views could not be beat. This was a perfect location 10 mins to Arezzo, and a comfortable driving distance to Cortona, I traveled with two family's with older... More

Villa Cilnia has it all, location, views, spa, good wine and good food however for us something was missing. The spa was good and we had two massages which were "ok" however for over 120 Euros I expected it to be very good. The room was well appointed and a lovely view. Dinner was ok again, good food and good... More

My wife and I stayed at the Villa Cilnia midweek for one night and found it to be a hidden gem - blending traditional values and modern amenities - nestled in a beautiful and peaceful location with ample grounds in the countryside near Arezzo. The old buildings of the Villa have been modernised to a high standard, keeping many of... More

While looking around for Dante's "Inferno" memorabilia, take a rest in this little corner of Heaven. My "Masaccio Suite" is adorned with an original Renaissance fireplace and stunning pieces of modern Italian design. The picture on the room keys? Adam and Eve leaving Eden Garden. That was exactly my feelings, when departing from here. The time before my next visit... More

What a fantastic place to stay. Great location, quiet, tranquil, modern yet historic, in a vineyard and next to an olive tree hill. Winery on location, wine shop, etc. Terific breakast -- home cooked pastries, local fruit, great chees and prosciuttos, breads, juices, etc. Pool, pic-nic groud and grill, and best are the hosts -- could not ask for nicer... We had a great experience at this agriturismo villa in April 2004. I only wish we could have stayed longer (there's a pool, BBQ, bicycles, and laundry room that we didn't get to take advantage of). We were given a spacious, beautifully furnished room with a huge bathroom. Luigi and Orietta were incredibly kind and gracious. The breakfast that is... More
