We stayed in this delightful small hotel when visiting Alba for the first time this year and could not rate the hotel highly enough. From making our booking by telephone through to finally ( and reluctantly ) leaving, the staff were fantastic. On arrival we also found them to be charming and helpful. The hotel itself is well located with... More

The previous reviews are basic outlines of this one. Given its location and history, this small hotel is simply wonderful. This is our 4th visit to Palazzo Finati for white truffle season and each visit is an anticipated treat. We are very seasoned travelers and normally choose 5 star hotels throughout the continents, but once in awhile one will luckily... More

This hotel is located in a fantastic position to the centre of alba, it's decor is classic but very clean and comfortable, the staff are brilliant and they serve a nice breakfast every morning. The rooms are quiet large with large french doors overlooking the quiet street. Great place to stay if you are there for the white truffle festival... More

We are seasoned travelers and are discerning. This place was lovely. The service especially Anna, but really everyone was unparalleled. Everything we possibly needed from garage to wifi was anticipated and explained in detail. They helped secure restaurant reservations on a Monday evening (no small accomplishment, given that most were either completely booked or closed). The room was spacious, the... More

Everything about this place is perfect. The staff are wonderful. The breakfast sumptuous including a la carte and the breakfast area is very large making it easy to find a spot without bumping tables nearby. Nicely placed for exploring Alba. Each room has its own layout and decor with a nice combination of antique and new. Beds are fantastic making... More

A real nice little palace of hotel. Very comfortable, beautifullly decorated rooms/suites. Although somewhat small bathrooms with not so comfortable small showers. We stayed here on two occassions. Very helpful staff. Limited parking possibility. Good breakfast in nicely decorated basement. Value for money. Very well located in center of town, but quite.

Have stayed here twice on separate trips. Extremely friendly and helpful staff who know the town, can recommend restaurants, etc. Wonderful breakfast. Most (if not all) rooms have a nice balcony with A/C. If you're staying on a Friday night, the Saturday morning farmer's market is only a block away. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Located in the impossibly beautiful and charming city centre of Alba, the Palazzo Finati is an exceptional hotel. The rooms are individual- and lovely (even the ceilings- be sure to look up!). The staff are exceptionally pleasant and helpful. The breakfast is superlative. And the place is so quiet you can't believe you are in city centre. Even the rates... More

This is a very small hotel, with less than a dozen rooms. The rooms even have names instead of numbers. Very comfortable and modern, without being sterile. It was interesting how many times we walked back to the hotel and found someone looking at the flowers in the hotel's front window. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast... We stayed here with Italian friends as a central location to explore the Piedmont wine country. Head south from Alba and you will enter spectacularly gorgeous scenery with hill after hill covered in vineyards and stone wineries. The barolo wines we sampled were also spectacular, but that's another story. Palazzo Finati is an old classic Italian home converted to a... More
