Located in the impossibly beautiful and charming city centre of Alba, the Palazzo Finati is an exceptional hotel. The rooms are individual- and lovely (even the ceilings- be sure to look up!). The staff are exceptionally pleasant and helpful. The breakfast is superlative. And the place is so quiet you can't believe you are in city centre. Even the rates... More

This is a very small hotel, with less than a dozen rooms. The rooms even have names instead of numbers. Very comfortable and modern, without being sterile. It was interesting how many times we walked back to the hotel and found someone looking at the flowers in the hotel's front window. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast... We stayed here with Italian friends as a central location to explore the Piedmont wine country. Head south from Alba and you will enter spectacularly gorgeous scenery with hill after hill covered in vineyards and stone wineries. The barolo wines we sampled were also spectacular, but that's another story. Palazzo Finati is an old classic Italian home converted to a... More

This small, historic hotel is right in the centre of Alba, 5 minutes to the main shopping area and town square in one direction, and the weekly open air market in the other, down a narrow street. The rooms are quite large and comfortable, at least two with a door outside. Everything is well presented, with interesting touches like a plate... More

What a wonderful find in a great little city. The town was just great to use as a base for exploring the hilltop wine towns of the area and Palazzo Finati was such a comfortable stay. A beautiful old building on a very quiet street with modern rooms. Our junior suite cost 170 E per night with buffet breakfast. The... More

Amazing old hotel, complete with frescoes and terraces, modernized with private baths and A/C. Staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable - and they speak beautiful English. We had two connecting rooms for a family suite. Larger room included couch and coffee table, for plenty of space. Breakfast was excellent: buffet including pastries and cakes, fresh fruit, cold meats and cheeses,... More

Minutes away from the main shopping street is this totally refurbished Palais. We got the 'fan' room, an amazing fan was dran on the ceiling somme 100 of years ago. To be in Italy and to sleep under a fresco..;Whatelse! The reception team, efficient and welcoming, the room spotless, the city, we left with all what there is to buy... More

This lovely palazzo in the center of Alba was an excellent find. We stayed on night and we impressed with how warm and helpful the staff was even prior to our arrival. Once we arrived they were very helpful with parking, dinner reservations and town directions. The room was lovely and the breakfast the next morning in the wine cellar... More

We stayed one night in Palazzo Finati as we wanted to dine at the acclaimed Piazza Duomo restaurant, which is located just a block away. The small hotel turned out to be a great experience as well: a beautifully modernized old building with all amenities of a 5-star hotel. The breakfast is excellent and the staff really friendly. More a B&B thanhotel, in the city centre of Alba, I got a better room than in many 5 stars hotels. Large, very well appointed, elegant, marble bathroom, a balcony, WIFI. Only thing missing, tea/coffee facilities, but mini bar in the room. Well above average breakfast. Limited parking in the courtyard, but public parking nearby. Very friendly and attentive staff.
