We found this place excellebt for our stay in Alba. Great breakfast, a clean and spaceous room - and the service was excellent from the day we booked the stay. Roberta and her daughter even got us tickets for Neil Youngs concert in Barolo - outstanding!

My wife and I stayed here for three days on our honeymoon and had an amazing experience. Roberta was such a kind and gracious host. She went out of her way multiple times to ensure that we were having a great time. The breakfasts were all incredible (and huge!), including homemade jams and pastries and fresh juices. She is also... More

The Villa and grounds are charming and the rooms well decorated. The surrounding countryside is glorious with the host being able to provide you with better tourist information than the official one in town. We enjoyed our stay here and they produce a nice local red wine which you can sample during the evening in one of the many terrace... More

Form the minute we booked our stay at Villa La Favorita we knew we made the right choice. Roberta always quickly responded to emails and questions. She was helpful in organizing a fantastic wine tour, where to rent a car and more. When we arrived we were greeted with a warm smile and a heart felt welcome. A complimentary bottle... More

From the very beginning, before we even arrived, Roberta was thoughtful and kind and helped us in several ways. The house and room were lovely and the surrounding garden is beautifully appointed and landscaped; however, it is very easy to walk to town so one has the best of both worlds in being centrally located but with a strong feel... Roberta's B&B, Villa Favorita in Alba is a pure delight in every way. The location, just outside the historic district of Alba is perfect for walking into town or driving into the scenic hill towns of the Piedmont area. The Villa itself is on beautifully tended grounds, the interior is lovingly decorated with taste and comfort. As so many have... More

Perfect B&B Roberta (owner)and her staff is a gem. She would give suggestions of things to do during the day without any obligations. Breakfasts were perfect and changed daily. I would love to live there.

Villa La Favorita is the perfect place from which to explore the Piemonte wine country, and Roberta is the perfect innkeeper. Our room was beautiful, with its original tiled floor and its balcony overlooking Alba and the snow-capped mountains in the distance. Breakfasts were ample, delicious and creative. From first contact, Roberta helped make our stay wonderful. Before our arrival,... More

Great getaway spot. Amazing gardens with many different seating areas so guests feel like they are in their own secluded world. Amazing breakfasts! Best we've had in our extended italy holiday. Roberta, wonderful daughters and staff are gracious and cheerful making the stay extra peaceful. Lots of great restaurant and activity recommendations. Grazie!

We stayed 2 nights at the Favorita and really loved it. Our room was comfortable and clean. The highlight is the breakfast and the common living room. Very tastefully decorated throughout. My children appreciated the hottub. We parents appreciated the proximity to Barbaresco (walkable). The Favorita is roughly a 15 minute walk from the town of Alba. Roberta arranged dinner... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Dating back to the early 1900’s, it is officially recognized as a historic residence, and has been meticulously refurbished in recent years. Set amidst a 10,000 m² estate of vineyards and fruit orchards, it is located on a hillside just 1½ kms outside Alba. The farm produces fine doc-status wines - Nebbiolo d'Alba and Grignolino Piemonte - which can be tasted free-of-charge, as well as a large variety of organically-grown fruit (cherries, apples, pears, apricots, plums, persimmons, figs, mulberries, peaches and pomegranates), some of which are used to make delicious jams. The villa's four highly original, en-suite bedrooms are tastefully furnished with period family pieces, and have satellite TV, air-conditioning, bath with shower and hair-dryer.Each "room with a view" brings guests into close contact with the hills.and the towers and roofs of ALBA's old town centre.Every morning a plentiful breakfast offering a wide choice is served outdoors in the large garden, on the terrace or in the bright lemon-house.Alba is a lively town, standing at the feet of the celebrated “Langhe” hills. It is famous for its mediaeval towers, “Via Maestra” (the main street, animated by plenty of shops and a busy Saturday morning market), and cultural and food & wine events. ... more   less
