both hotel and restaurant are worth making a de tour in the region of Alba a walk. You can safely take the proposed menu with accompanying wines and then sleep heavens in their authentic bedrooms. The breakfast was not extensive (still a few savory condiments) but there were freshly baked cakes ... One the other hand the price of a... More

It is very hard not to fall in love with both the views and the place itself. This quiet, peaceful and romantic get away offers so much. Very friendly and helpful staff. Breathtaking 360 degree panoramic views over the vinyards below as this place is located at the top of the hill. You can easily just spend a full day... More

I rented two bedrooms for my wife and son in July. This excellent facility was our base for touring nearby wineries in Piemonte. The views were magnificent, the staff attentive, breakfast fine and we heartily recommend the hotel. There is an excellent on site restaurant as well.

On a trip through Northern Italy we found this small but very classy Hotel/lodging set in the vineyards with a one star restaurant. A private wine tasting, pre dinner drinks on the terrace, then an excellent meal makes for an enjoyable time. Rooms are comfortable, clean & have wonderful views across the grape vines.

I have been in this hotel for 2 nights for my b-day this yea. Adorable. Very confortable and cozy. Rooms are very beautiful and you can see the vineyards from your window. Plus, the restaurant is something special. Very good choice for romance or just resting!

My wife and I have dined here before and loved it. Thius time we decided to book a room. Our room was large and nicely furnished. The bathroom and amenities were first class. best of all was the view of the vineyards from our corner room. Prior to dinner we grabbed a bottle of wine from one of the wineries... More

We recently stayed at La Locanda del Pilone. The only available room was the "Dependance" - “House in the Vineyards”, composed by an apartment with a double bedroom, a twin-bedded room and a bathroom. Very comfortable, well-heated, extremely quiet, its only drawbacks is that you need a car to reach the main building (about a quarter mile away) and that... More

My fiancée and I stopped spontaneously at this restaurant as a friend had given us the address. We decided to have dinner, and then postponed our departure as they had an available room. You have to visit - if not only for the spectacular view from a terrace overlooking the wine yards. Wow! We took our aperitif here. Food was... More

My husband and I just returned from a five night stay at this property. They are located in the hills above Alba - once you find your way it is not bad - close to all of the hill towns. The property is a working winery/vineyard and the house itself is a refurbished farm house. Our room was #3 -... More
