We stayed here for two nights. Nice peaceful location with dogs, ducks and peacocks. Is about 5 minutes from town centre once you have navigated the rutted dirt single track road. If you follow three directions, you'll get there. Room fine, breakfast on the paltry side but you're not paying Ritz prices. Absolutely fine as a base.

The Villa San Marco is a lovely oasis of calm in the heart of the Valley of the Temples. Both nights I was there I watched the sunset over the temples from their beautiful garden. The friendly, helpful owners made me feel like I was part of the family. The room was simple but comfortable and had everything you need.... More

Yes, hard to find but lovely old villa on secluded, walled property with views in the distance of the temples, especially precious at night when lit. Owner very amicable man, pleasant to chat with, very knowledgeable about area. However, that's where the glowing report ends. The room we were in was right next to the locked gate, the downstairs portion... More

Yes, we can confirm the Villa is hard to find. Stopping (by total accident) at the gas station that was mentioned by the owner is his special directions we called the Villa. The owner's wife offered to come and get us. That is how we found it.....................Sign on road was half way to the Villa not at the entrance to... More

Will not be complaining about kinda dark rooms and shrieking peacocks on the roof at 6 AM. Or dull and repeating breakfast. This place is old, just like its owner, a bright multi lingual schollar, who probably likes history more than B&B biz. But he is right, it is far more interesting, especially when you have all Valley of temples... More

We enjoyed our 2 night stay very much and would definately return here and for longer. Fabulous location with views of temples. Tranquil gardens, friendly staff and dogs. Pool very much appreciated. Just wish they did an evening meal although excellent restaurants nearby without going into Agrigento. You need a car to get there really.

Touring Sicily with my husband, we wanted to stay close to the Valle dei Templi to enjoy sunset and nightly views. We found B&B Villa San Marco right across the Valle. When we arrived there we couldn't believe what we saw. A beautiful villa with heavenly garden and a pool overlooking the temples!!What wonderful experience. In the garden there are two... More

We stayed at Villa San Marco for three nights during an eleven day tour of Sicily. Compromising a couple of farmhouse properties, it is beautifully landscaped with green foliage, free roaming peacocks and a couple of (mostly sleeping) dogs! It's main attraction is the amazing views of the Valley of the Temples that can be seen from the pool, breakfast... More

We only spent one night at Villa San Marco and had a great time! The B&B's superb location (8 minutes by car from Agrigento's town centre and less than 5 minutes from the Valley of the Temples), its beautiful garden and the amazing hospitality of its hosts made it a lovely stay for my family. I had read that it... More

This is a wonderful setting, the grounds are so peaceful and quiet and well set out. The views of the Temples are quite stunning, particularly at night. The family are so friendly and helpful, it was a privilege to share their wonderful home. Vincenzo's English was fine and we discussed the family's trips to England and Ireland, his son Salvatore...
