We enjoyed our stay at B&B San Marco- which is situated in the middle of the valley of temples and around 10 minutes drive to the centre of Agrigento. Having read earlier reviews we were prepared for the dirt road and the way too early peacocks, but the garden is lovely and the pool is great to soak in after... More

Yes, the outdoor of the B&B is amazing. I mean, it's like Eden with all the trees, flowers, animals, ... And the view is really good. From there you can see 3 temples. But the room was not really good. It was old, the bed was wayyyy to hard and the bathroom need also some improvement. The breakfast was okish.... More

Where else can you swim on a beautiful terrace and look out at one of the best preserved Greek temples in the world? The 200 year old villa is full of character. The terrace has plants, pots and water features, benches, swing seats, chairs and tables, everywhere. There are interesting tiles on the wall, ducks in pond, chickens in a... More

Don't be put off by the dirt track past the petrol station. This is a wonderful place to stay with stunning views of the Temples. Be prepared to be woken by the peacocks. The room and service were both first class. Breakfast was delightful. When my wife was unwell we were found another room for an extra night and I... More

One of the most pleasant B&Bs we have ever stayed in. It is a bit out of town, but that puts it straight in the centre of the valley of temples within easy walk of both archeology museum and the site itself. (And particularly easy walk from otherwise well hidden Temple of Vulcan that is not a part of the... More

We stayed here for two nights. Nice peaceful location with dogs, ducks and peacocks. Is about 5 minutes from town centre once you have navigated the rutted dirt single track road. If you follow three directions, you'll get there. Room fine, breakfast on the paltry side but you're not paying Ritz prices. Absolutely fine as a base.

The Villa San Marco is a lovely oasis of calm in the heart of the Valley of the Temples. Both nights I was there I watched the sunset over the temples from their beautiful garden. The friendly, helpful owners made me feel like I was part of the family. The room was simple but comfortable and had everything you need.... More

Yes, hard to find but lovely old villa on secluded, walled property with views in the distance of the temples, especially precious at night when lit. Owner very amicable man, pleasant to chat with, very knowledgeable about area. However, that's where the glowing report ends. The room we were in was right next to the locked gate, the downstairs portion... More

Yes, we can confirm the Villa is hard to find. Stopping (by total accident) at the gas station that was mentioned by the owner is his special directions we called the Villa. The owner's wife offered to come and get us. That is how we found it.....................Sign on road was half way to the Villa not at the entrance to... More

Will not be complaining about kinda dark rooms and shrieking peacocks on the roof at 6 AM. Or dull and repeating breakfast. This place is old, just like its owner, a bright multi lingual schollar, who probably likes history more than B&B biz. But he is right, it is far more interesting, especially when you have all Valley of temples... More
