There was only one thing we wanted to see in Agrigento - the Valley of the Temples. It made the 2h40m bus trip across Sicily well worth it. After a 20 minute walk (10 min if you know where to go) from the bus station we arrived at Hotel Amici. A previous post had it right - walk to the... More

The Hotel Amici was a one night stay so we could see the Valley of the Temples. Our room was sparse, but clean. We arrived by bus, so it is a 10 -15 minute walk from the bus terminal. It is, however, right across the street from the train station. The receptionist was very helpful with a map and directions... More

This hotel has no charm at all. The decor of the rooms is depressing. The location is convenient, but the place has the aura of the car rental firm that is shares the building with. The room was dusty, the matrass lumpy, and the shower absurdly small (allthough the bathroom itself was big enough). The satellite tv had not a... More

Hotel is located next to train station in the city center, very close to the Via Atenea. If you arrive by car, search for signs to the hotel. They are very convenient to find hotel in a maze of narrow sicilian streets. Hotel is basic, but cozy. Some of the rooms on the last floor has view on the Valley... More

We came from Syracuse for 1 night to see the Temples and then move on to Palermo. Arrived at train station and amused a taxi driver by asking for a taxi, he pointed it out to us and we trundled our suitcases across the car park. External impressions very poor, it looks like a building site from over the road... More

This hotel was a one night stop-over for us on our way to Palermo. It was very close to the railway station and the bus to the Valley of the Temples was right at the railway station. The hotel manager was extremely helpful, the rooms were great and the breakfast was included in our room rate.(64 Euro) The place was light and... I arrived by bus and had a bit of a walk to get there but the local people were very helpful. Once there the reception area was lovely and the male receptionist very helpful. I booked a double room for myself and had to walk down the dark corridor but the light came on at all times of the day... More

Clean hotel, good value - looks a little aged/old - but everything in our room worked. Close to bus/train stations - which made getting to the greek ruins easy. Also close to the main road with lots of restaurants & shops.

As stated by other contributers this hotel is excelent value. It is in a great location near the old town. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and even when we had to cancel one of our nights made no fuss about it. The only downside to the hotel is that is that it is difficult to drive to because... More

We booked this hotel at the last minute with Venere. We were tired and sterssed and delighted to find a hotel with availability so we booked two nights. When we arrived (by car) we managed to squeeze into the carpark after a stressful 30 minutes. The receptionist was very polite and helpful with the parking. We almost died when we... More
