This accommodation was the biggest disappointment of our trip to Sicily. Based on TA reviews and quite charming and polite correspondence with the proprietress in advance of a prior, aborted trip, and based upon the proprietress's claim to culinary proficiency (she contributed recipes to her sister's memoir about growing up in the noble house), we chose Fattoria Mose for two... We have a nice stay for three nights at Fattoria Mose just outside of Agrigento. The agriturismo is very well located to visit the Valley of the Temples. It is an easy drive of less than 10 minutes. Chiara was very helpful with information about the nearby sites. We had two meals at the agriturismo which were very enjoyable social... More

This was the first of 3 very different Agriturismo that we stayed at during our trip to Sicily. As we have now completed our trip, the contrast of stays is quite drastic. "Oh, the dump", is how my husband refers to Fattoria Mose. This is too strong a description. The reality is, the property is beautiful in a rustic way.... More

Six of us (three couples) spent an evening at this wonderful location in October. We were greeted warmly and had comfortable rooms. We loved walking around the grounds; with an old olive grove and fabulous views...and a pool. It was a breathtaking walk. The people were lovely; so warm and welcoming. We opted to also purchase their dinner and sat... More

This was our first time in an agriturismo and we were charmed by the warm welcome and the homely, rustic atmosphere. The room was basic but comfortable and the whole manor house had a wonderfully cosy feel to it. Chiara was a very welcoming hostess, cooking delicious meals and hosting lively and entertaining conversation between all the varied guests at... More

The Fattoria itself is beautiful and the accommodation very rustic, which is not a problem. We have stayed in many agriturismos in Italy over the years. We do expect them to be clean though, no matter how basic. My sister and her husband in the double bed upstairs were eaten by fleas. My main complaint, however, was the food. We... More

we have just had our second stay at this down to earth quirky old manor/farmhouse..it is like stepping back in time...full of comfortable old furniture, and photographs, it is like staying with a favourite relative...eating outside a simple vegetarian meal so comforting and relaxing...the pool is warm and clean a delight.

This is a wonderfully rambling old villa complete with chapel, olive groves, the requisite kittens and dogs and best of all a charming hostess. Dinner was simple and delicious and all the more so due to the lively international conversation masterfully guided by Chiara. Her olive oil and jams are definitely worth bringing home. Family photos, furniture and household items... More

If you want to know the true Sicily from inside, then go to this ancient manor - Fattoria, on the top of a hill, close to Agrigento, where you can admire the Agrigento valleys, with its incredible colors in every season. The owner - your landladyChiara Agnello - steps from the noble family of Barone Agnello: the manor is still... More
