Pros Friendly and professional staff Perfect location for visiting the temples - best of any hotel by far Attractive/stylish lobby and bar area Comfortable rooms Cons Not the hotel's fault, but Agrigento town lacks charm. May be hard to justify staying longer than 1-2 nights.

During a one-month driving tour we decided at the last minute to stay here. I called from the car and requested a suite with a separate bedroom. When we arrived we asked to see what was available. Wellll, we ended up in the Villa Suite and oh-my-gosh it was fabulous! We asked to stay an additional night, so two turned... More

Beautiful hotel, great location with views of the temples. Lovely swimming pool. Breakfast is amazing. How easy it is to slip into eating cake and pastries for breakfast!! But plenty of fruit, cereal, eggs, cheese, meat too. Dinner is on the expensive side I guess (€110 for three courses for two people) but it was very nice. My only complaint... More

this is the only hotel in the Valley of the Temples. The view of the Temple of Concordia from the terrace, in the daytime and particularly at night, is worth the considerable price. Our room was spacious with a large bathroom and a small side balcony with a glimpse of the temple. The breakfast was excellent, as was the dinner... More

While not cheap, Hotel Villa Athena is the best place to stay to see the temples. If you want to splurge, reserve Room 104, which has a clear view of the Temple of Concord. The restaurant is excellent.

Hotel is stunning, with excellent views of the temple (if you are lucky enough to get the right room) on the 2nd floor of the small suite on the ground floor that has its own private terrace with a view towards the ruins. Rooms were clean and well appointed, with tea making facilities. Internet is also speedy and reliable. Mattresses... More

Divine location with truly awesome views of the temples set in pristine Sicilian landscape. Our special thanks to the chef and restaurant staff. The food, wine and service was excellent. If you are planning a pedestrian visit to the temples be warned the road is busy and no pavements. Highly dangerous for walkers. Signage is completely absent. We searched for... More

From the drive up the rosemary scented driveway to arriving in our room we were not disappointed in our choice. The staff were very welcoming and helpful . The room was spotless and well appointed. The views from the property to the ruins was beautiful not to mention romantic at night. Easily accessible to the Valley Of Temples. Breakfast was... More

Our visit to the Valley of the Temples was highlighted by the wonderful stay we had at Hotel Villa Athena. The place is beautiful and situated right in the middle of the Valley of the Temple. The service was excellent. Our room was beautifully decorated and comfortable. We had dinner at the hotel's restaurant and the food was just average.... More
