From check in to check out(we didn't want to leave) we were treated to the highest quality of amenities and service. The staff works hard to please. The setting is spectacular and the dinner was the best we experienced in Sicily. A bit pricey but well worth it!

Of the 10 or so hotels we've been to in Italy, this was by far the nicest. Upon arrival we were upgraded (for free) to a suite (just lucky or maybe because I'm Sicilian?). Everything about the suite was perfect, including a spacious bathroom, complete with free toothbrush. (A nice touch, I thought). Helpful, mufti-lingual staff. They assisted my wife... More

Hotel overlooks Concordia temple in the Valley of the Temples - dinner is served on the terrace and the temple is floodlit - very romantic setting. Rooms are well appointed with stunning bathrooms - most have spacious balcony but only dearer rooms have a view of the temple! Nice swimming pool but leaves etc that had blown in during the... More

Stayed here to visit Agrigento (five minute car ride) and Valley of the Temples (10 minute walk). Rooms, service and amenities were 5 star, absolutely excellent, breakfast was very good and the pool has a view of the temple of concordia. If you are looking for a luxe experience near the temples, look no further.

Wonderful staff in all areas of the Hotel. Excellent food and very contemporary Spa. By far the best small resort hotel in Sicily. Nice pool area and grounds. Need to make advance reservations for summer stay.

We have been there for dinner. View is stunning. However, it was the worse food we have eaten during our two weeks holidays in Sicily. We have ordered fusilli with cernia and riso with pistacchio and prawns. Cernia was extremely dry and not eatable. I ended up leaving it on the plate. Riso was even worse, it was floating in... There is no question that Villa Athena is expensive. However, if you can afford it, you will be treated to a unique experience. Our midsize room had a large terrace with a perfect view towards the Temple of Concord. The room was well appointed and soundproofed. The grounds of the hotel are not large, but there is a lovely garden... More

This is a quite exceptional Hotel with arguably the finest restaurant backdrop in Europe. The quality of furnishings, rooms and gardens are superior to many other nominally 5 star establishments but what sets it apart is the quality of friendliness & provision of service of all the staff in whatever capacity throughout the Hotel - it seems almost invidious to... A quality hotel with commanding views to the nearby Valley of the Temples (which is not a valley, as they’re on a ridge). The hotel is well appointed, clean and stylish. There’s a nice pool area and ample space for relaxing. Good car parking on site, excellent wifi and friendly helpful staff. We were advised to drive to the Greek... More

We had a room with a view over looking the Concordia temple. Magnificent. It is expensive but beautiful appointed. An exceptionally comfortable bed. The room was adequate in size. Breakfast great but not good for lactose intolerance. The main restaurant should be number 1 in area. ... exquisite food and an amazing sommelier with prices to match.
