The hotel was an emergency stop in Agrigento. The price was 139€ with breakfast for a " junior suite." That turned out to be little more than a standard best western room in North America -- but not as fresh. The place was filled with Collette bus tour passengers. The restaurant in the basement is a huge over lit stark... More

We were at Hotel della Valle with a business group for two days and one night. We were, I assume, in a renovated room as it had a very modern bath and shower. The public areas are large and comfortable so we felt no need to use internet in our room. We had breakfast and lunch in the restaurant and... More

The della Valle has its location going for it, close to the Valley of the Temples and with parking available nearby, but really this is a bog standard tourist hotel catering for coach parties. There is no sense of individual care here. I have already mentioned the plastic dinner plates in a review of the dreadful restaurant. Breakfast seems to... More

We stayed at Agrigento last night at Hotel Della Valle and were offered an upgrade room overlooking The Valley of the Temples for €20 which we accepted, the room was very spacious spotlessly clean and all amenities you could hope for, the hotel has a lovely pool and outdoor dining area and excellent staff. We also dined in the Hotel... More

I deeply regret having stayed at this hotel which probably survives through tour groups. Apart from a couple of individuals I found the staff to be on the whole below par and the front desk staff (could be the owners) particularly unfriendly and curt. We could not use the balcony because of the fumes being produced by the air conditioning... More

With its proximity to the Roman Temples and the town, plus pretty gardens and pool this should possibly the best hotel in town. However it is let down by the poor service and to give them the benefit of the doubt the staff seem very poorly trained. For instance we asked the Desk about English Language Satellite TV after much... More

The hotel has good rooms, beds showers and restaurant, but is let down by too small and slow sets of elevators (lifts), large tour groups, slow and occasional Wi-Fi and relatively thin walls and floors, so you can be heard in the next room and vice versa.

Disappointing, although it is a family run hotel it wa impersonal. Issues with reception over key and lack of Wi-fi experienced by fellow travelers. Seemed to be a lack of staff, maybe early in season. Needs a bit of a shake up and even restaurant was slow. Parking was away from hotel and in public parking area.

15 minutes walk down the hill from the town of Agrigento, this hotel was a great stopping point for visiting the Templi and exploring the southern coast. We found the receptionists very helpful with restaurant recommendations ( book Restaurant Frederico II in advance!) and with our attempts to book scooters and onward transport. Lovely buffet breakfast from 7 -10 daily... More

Stayed here for one night on a Globus tour. The hotel is very nice. It appears that most of the rooms have been updated recently and have plenty of light and plugs. The only problem that I encountered was that the deadbolt didn't work. Speaking with other travelers in our group, it sounded like their's didn't work either. The hotel... More
