Spare room with private bathroom and balcony at the 7th floor of an appartment in a flat and overlooking the valley of the temples. Spectacular views on Sunny days. Excellent breakfast with a great choice of food. The bed was too narrow for us though, luckily there was a separate 1-p bed in the room as well. Helpful and friendly... More

Unfortunately we only stayed one night. Antonia is an extremely welcoming and intelligent person. The area surrounding Casa di Max is extremely safe and parking is available in the street. The breakfast was typically Sicilian, cakes, interesting breads and jams and rich coffee.

Given the rave reviews, we expected more. The bedroom does have a terrific view. That said, the apartment is rather dark and was not easy to find and our hostess didn't speak English. The room and bathroom were modern non-descript. The breakfast was specially prepared and, if you only like sweets, you should enjoy it. Over our two and half... More

Usually, I love responding to reviews of my guests in their private emails , both to thank, both to learn from their criticism, but in this case it is necessary to use TripAdivisor to better inform all those who will read the criticisms of this review that I would like to point out , accept it because, as I always... The view from the room is unbelievable- beautiful (photo added below). The location is good and the host (Antonia) was very helpful. Another good surprise- the wonderful breakfast, beatifully served. It was an experience to remember!

Delightful B&B in a flat very conveniently located, with a splendid view of the Valley of the Temples and quite near the historic centre of the town. Nice, clean room and bathroom, interesting furniture, nice books and original pictures which make you feel very much at home. The attention and care of Antonella's warm hospitality is exceptional. She goes out... More

My partner and I stayed here with our baby in mid-October 2013. We have wonderful memories of our two days in Antonia’s apartment. It is beautifully furnished with original artwork and antique furniture. Antonia is a naturally kind and warm person who genuinely enjoys meeting and talking to her guests. We had some really interesting conversations with her over breakfast,... More

We stayed here in October 2013. The street and entrance to the apartment were a little disconcerting but don't be put off. The apartment is lovely. It's a 10-minute walk to the centre of Agrigento which is a really nice city. Not touristy (despite the temples) and very laid back. We stayed there at the weekend so we were looked... More

When we booked to stay at Casa di Max, we didn't realise that it was on the seventh floor of an apartment block which as Nadia & Klaus say in an earlier review isn't exactly prepossessing from the outside. It also partly explains why we found it hard to find! The geography of Agrigento if you haven't got GPS/satnav is... More

I always try to pick where we stay with the idea that it might give us a glimpse into the culture of the area, and we could not have picked better when we decided to stay at Casa di Max.
