Seemed like the villa has already lost its beauty and I believe the owner plans to remodel over a period of time. One should adjust the expectations that since Goethe stayed here, it should be grand. The best thing about it was the very central location, next to a good restaurant and along the main street.
The room was very different from what I saw on the website. it was smaller and with a very tiny bathroom that could have been the result of this being an extension. Seems like the room upstairs were bigger. I felt a bit unconfortable because there was only a folding door (that didn't close properly) between the room and the bathroom.
First I was looking forward to the breakfast in the garden but it was a dissapointment. There were cats living there so the sofa was full of their hair and whole garden smelled bad after the rains. The breakfast was very poor, only a few piece of bread, jam and coffee, the owner didn't put even tablecloth for us.
