Reception was friendly with enough English spoken (watch the small step as you leave reception desk). Room was on 2nd floor with basic furnishing and sloping ceiling, good size modern bathroom, and view of river and bridge across. The well used public bar is to one side of reception and the restaurant to the other. The dinner is of a... More

Stayed at the Auberge the 1 night prior to our boat trip. Although we arrived around 3 pm from Paris and too late for lunch the owner was kind enough to prepare us some cold cuts which turned out to be an amazing varied supply of meats and cheeses. We were so impressed with the accueil that we decided to... More

I checked in here on a wet and cold Sunday cycling along VeloRoute 6. (Also located on the Chemin St Jacques de Compostelle The staff spoke some english, but most of them very basic. This place is a basic hotel with prices that seemed a little high for the services and decor available. The views of the river are very... More

With only one other hotel in town, this was easily the better choice. The family business includes the locally popular restaurant, pub & cafe. With initial casual responses, very helpful travel advice, good food, good clean bedding, rooms & excellent breakfast was coaxed from the hotel providers. The location is very picturesque (better after the bridgeworks are finished) & with... More

We like to stay somewhere diferent on our journey to and from the South so thought we would try this town as near motorway etc. Nice position ,easy to find, good welcome and nice food.Room overlooking the river was clean and well equipped. We didn't like the table at dinner but were offered one in a different room which was fine.

This hotel has a great view if you are in the front looking over the River. A short walk to the centre of town. The rooms were small but clean. bathrooms good too. the staff/owners varied from friendly and helpful to very unhelpful. For example on Friday night at 9.50 we were told the staff were too busy to serve... More

Nice position by river, but very small rooms, old sunken mattress, and VERY THIN WALLS. The restaurant was over-priced and the food very average at best. (see my review). At E64 (breakfast extra 10p/p) this was not good value.

The room was small but the people were kind and mannered.......one does eat well at the restaurant too! side note - if your room is cold, try opening the heating element hourself and not wait for them to intervene. It came up in conversation with the people that run the place and they asked me why i didn't do it... More
