Nice hotel at the south site of Nairobi , aprx. 30 min. by car from centre of Nairobi. Next to the main road to Tanzania. It has an open structure, a nice swimming pool and 16 rooms. The rooms are basic, not luxurious but clean. All is a little outdated. The total hotel is a little outdated. In my room... More

The location is great in terms of accessibility, they have spacious ample grounds to play around with in order to create a must-go place. It is dusty, don't be made to believe otherwise. This is because it is pretty next to a busy highway. Dear Sandalwood, you need to teach your waiters how to smile and be happy about their... More

My wife and I stayed at the Sandalwood for 20 nights beginning Jan 16, 2014. We were in Kitengela to do humanitarian work, and had booked 35 nights with them initially but shortened it to 20 days for the reasons that follow. We like the looks of the place, but the shortfalls eventually drove us out about halfway through our... More

I stayed at Sandalwood twice, first from January 24th till the 28th for a conference nearby and then return for another 3 days in February. During both stays, I found the Staff incredibly helpful, kind, and efficient. When I returned the second time at Sandelwood, I had fallen a bit sick with some previous stomach problems. The staff readily responded... More

On new years we decided to go for a swim around lunchtime while i was visiting a pal in Kitengela. We were the first in the pool but soonest we got in you could step on a piece of polythene paper n you could see that the pool wasn't that clean. The chef disappointed in terms of communication when they... More

On a Sunday afternoon my friends and I decided to go for lunch out of town. As we drove into Kitengela, we came across Sandalwood, which looked quite nice structurally. We decided to sit by the poolside and it took a while to get some service. Once the waitress arrived she took our orders and after she brought us our... More
