Sebastopol is a few kilometres outside Ballarat city centre. These days it is a modest suburb with a highway cutting through it; formerly this whole area was dependent on the pastoral and mining industries. A restored 1878 bluestone homestead called Blythewood Grange serves as the main building of the WorldMark hotel. There is additional accommodation in more recently built buildings... More

We were delighted when we arrived in Ballarat to find a suite at this hotel. We were charmed by the beauitful old buildings and our spacious apartment. It had a well equipped kitchen and both the living room and bedroom were roomy and well appointed. The grounds are park like with a beauitful lake as the centre point. Great swimming... More

I have stayed at this resort 3x with 2 times within the last 6 months and every time I stay at this place, I get more drawn to it. It's situated on a sprawling area with much greenery, very quiet and far away from the bustle and chaos of a city but yet near enough to Ballarat town if one... More

What a find, building built in 1859? Or thereabouts, started out as a family home, then a home for boys and now a resort for holidays. On 55 acres of land, large lake complete with paddle skiffs, walks thru grounds, and the building itself is very well preserved and has been brought up to date in a very complimentary way, we are very pleased... We, unexpectedly, found ourselves gobsmacked when we happened to stay at this beautiful hidden property just outside of Ballarat. This is an 1878 established orphanage converted into a resort. It has very unique architecture all around. We stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment which was very nice. I had the best sleep in this place as compared to any other... More

We stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment including 4 adults and 3 children. The resort building is very Grand indeed! I loved the tile work throughout the interior of the building and the grounds and lake surroundings were absolutely beautiful and kept neat. The apartment was very clean and spacious but wished they would use Doona covers rather then wrapping... More

Beautiful grounds, some 50+ acres, featuring a huge lake with paddle boats, several BBQ facilities, kids playgrounds, outdoor chess set, tennis courts, awesome indoor heated pool with toilet and change facilities. Adults only gym, spa and sauna is a great break from little people. ;) What was once a blue stone mansion in the gold rush era, was extended in... More

Our first visit to the Worldmark at Ballarat and we weren't disappointed. What an impressive property situated on the historic site of Blythewood Grange 1878. This is a perfect place to get away and relax. It has a heated indoor pool, sauna and spa, tennis courts, lake, extensive grounds, entertainment room with spacious apartments for a comfortable stay. The site... More

We had a lovely night away in a 2 bedroom apartment. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Television in the main bedroom was a plus as was the spacious layout. The grounds was kept neat and well maintained. It had all you needed included an indoor pool. The only negative I can think of is that we only wish... More

We have stayed on numerous occasions and highly recommend it to friends & family. Being regulars of this resort, we have come to know the staff and management, so each time we return, it is like coming home and are greeted accordingly. We stayed in a two bedroom deluxe self contained apartment on the second level which gave us views... More
