We spent two wonderful nights at this charming bed and breakfast. The rooms were very comfortable with very tasteful amenities. The bathrooms were beautifully done. The layout of the B and B was perfect for us since we had taken both rooms to spend a relaxing weekend with daughter, son in law, and baby granddaughter. We could keep our doors open... More

Carine and Bertrand were kind and thoughtful hosts, making us feel really welcome. The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated. Lovely quiet location and interesting grounds with fun artefacts and signs dotted around. As it was a chilly day, the fire in the hearth at breakfast time was a welcome surprise as we tucked into a good breakfast. Carine also... More

We try and get to the coast whenever we can as we live inland and the little finger north of Bordeaux that is the Medoc and which sits neatly between the Atlantic ocean and the Gironde estuary is our latest getaway place. We were lucky to be able to stay at the beautifully renovated home of Carine and Bertrand on... More

Carine & Bertrand are offering a great service + great advices to optimize your time here. Their attention to your needs is outstanding. Their house is nice and made with old beautiful stones. If you like authenticity ... This is a place for you. Last but not least, Carine's cooking competencies are better than any restaurant around here.

Great chambre d'hôtes in haut medoc wine region. Excellent restaurants and chateaus surrounding soussan village with great opportunity to explore the countryside on bikes with maps provided by the wonderful hosts! Lovely rooms and breakfast - really enjoyed our stay, hosts spoke fluent English although website in French only.

Very friendly family run B&B. Clean, large comfortable bedrooms and newly renovated bathrooms. This B&B is very well situated amongst some of the biggest wine estates in Bordeaux, in fact next door is the estate of Château Haut Breton Larigaudière. Breakfast of fresh bread, croissants, cold cuts... is accompanied by the crackling sound of the large stone wood burning fireplace,... More

We spent a couple of nights here as part of a 25th wedding anniversary trip to France. Carine's communication before our arrival was swift, efficient and welcoming. We arrived very late in the evening, but Carine and Bertrand didn't seem put out by this. The decor of the rooms is lovely, and standards of cleanliness very high. We found the... More

This a lovely house with spacious rooms, welcoming hosts and lovely breakfast. Unfortunately for us it was spoilt by the close proximity to the road, a very hard bed and even more uncomfortable pillows. However for the price it was ok if you are use to traffic noise and hard beds.

Sorry to read that your stay was spoilt by a hard bed and uncomfortable pillows. Upon your request, we would have been happy to provide you with softer pillows. Our bedding equipment is brand new, and chosen among a range of the best quality available on the market. Actually you are the first person who didn't like the beds, as... More

My husband and I stayed at La Maison de Soussans in early June, 2011. We were looking to stay in a charming cottage in a small french village, which is exactly what we found when we arrived. Upon arriving in Soussans, you are transported into something right out of a novel, with century old churches, narrow lanes, small grocery stores... More
