Charming place, great proprietor. Four nice ample rooms, perfectly equipped and decorated. It was a fantasy stay in the fields, surrounded by the vineyard. Sylvie prepared the dinner for us (Hugo, Lucy and I), which we specially enjoyed. She also recommended us a great restaurant nearby. We had an educational tour of the cellar. Relaxing, silent, private.

Our stay at this small B & B - nestled amid fields of grapes and adjoining the winery, was perfect! The beautifully renovated bedrooms were spacious. Sylvie Dulong, the proprietor, who also operates the vineyard, was very gracious, spoke perfect English and helpful pointing out vineyards and sites to visit. We did, however, have a bit of difficulty finding the... More

We stayed at Chateau L-D with our 2 young children. We had a large bedroom that was lovely with a luxury bathroom, and Sylvie had a sofa bed made up for the kids. Everything about our stay here was wonderful. Staying at a working Chateau felt more like being part of Bordeaux rather than just visiting. Sylvie also works in... More

Beautiful setting, gorgeous B & B, very big rooms, with lovely aspect and interior decor. Set in a vineyard, 15 minutes away from Bordeaux. Although the Chateaux would be descirbed as luxury, sadly the owner and staff did not live up to the same expectation. Unfortunately, the owner Sylvie, was not present much, and we felt a bit lost in... More

When staying at Chateau Lavergne Dulong you stay on a wine chateau that is in full working order. The bottling truck was on the estate. And it was fun to see the whole proces from barrel to box. You should also take a tour and winetasting on the estate and let Sylvie tell about how she makes her wines. We... More

This is very well presented chateau in great grounds, with a helpful and friendly welcome from the owner and her team. Rooms are very well designed to provide comfort and a chic environment whilst still maintaining the atmosphere of the manor house. There was no air con or fan in the rooms, but the windows did open wide as it... More

We are a family of 4 with children of 10 and 6, so I was slightly worried about staying in a vineyard chateau. But this was just a wonderful place to stay - the host Sylvie is just so welcoming, helpful and clearly an impressive businesswomen and wine grower. She and the person who helps her during the week speak... More

You drive up the long driveway and it really is Wow! It is a beautiful imposing building however surrounded by vineyards...all you hear are the animals and nothing else. We walked in and noticed how lovely and bright the entrance hall was and cool, perfect in 30 degrees. You can sit in the living areas which is just lovely. Outside... More

From the moment we stepped through the doors of this beautiful chateau we knew we hit the jack pot. Decor, ambience and surroundings were breath taking. Our delightful host Sylvie made us feel very welcome in her beautiful home, and her skills as a wine maker helped create further romance. Her Rose and Sauvignon Blanc are outstanding. The rooms are... More

This is a lovely property with a true old world charm - a graceful curved staircase, original old door knobs - but modern amenities (like great bathrooms). The views from our room (one of the smaller rooms) were just what one would expect for the french countryside - grapevines, sweeping trees. Even though its very close to bordeaux, it feels... More
