We stayed in Chateau La Moune (it used to be a Chateau as currently it does not have wineyards) during a family trip to visit Burdeaux and its sorroundings mushroomed with outstanding wineyards and castles. It is halfway between Burdeaux and Saint Emilion, so if you are going to stay there you have to bear in mind that you need... More

Francois is a highlight of this property from the warm welcome to cooking great breakfasts and dinners to arranging horse riding and willingly giving directions. There is a lovely pool area for relaxing and all meals we had were served around the pool area. It is a well located property and touring the local villages, St Emillion and driving into... More

Chateau La Moune is a lovely property located between Bordeaux and Saint Emillion and has a private access. The proprietor, Francois, is a very friendly gentleman who took care of all our needs, and made the necessary phone contacts when it was necessary. He organized a private wine tour in Saint Emillion for us. We really enjoyed the small, personal... More

We had a overnight stay on our way back home to England. Francois was the perfect host and made us feel so welcome. Recommend booking an evening meal - the food was excellent, we had a lovely 5 course meal by candlelight. Breakfast was great too with more than we could eat. Francois even went to the trouble of providing... More

Stayed there for two nights and it felt like home, Francois made the stay that much better. He takes pride in his place and it is seen the moment he welcomes you. During my stay i never felt like a tourist hungry for information. All the information was within francois's knowledge, he knew where to advise us to go, and... More

We stayed at Chateau la Moune for three nights, from the moment we arrived we felt at home! The Chateau is beautiful, lovely décor, pool, spa and gardens. We stayed in the Beige room which has a beautiful balcony overlooking the garden and the pool. The room is tastefully decorated and is very clean. We thoroughly recommend having dinner at... More

I would highly recommend staying at La moune chateaux. François was amazing! We had train delays from riems and didn't arrive until midnight. He arranged pick up from station and on arrival served us cheese, fruit and ham and a selection of wine finished off with his favourite cognac. He organised a guided wine tour with Ben who was very... More

A Superb Travel Experience. This sums up our overnight stay at Chateau Moune last September. Sadly, we had only one day here with a long drive ahead to Seville. The chateau is full of character and very comfortable. However, the highlight of our visit was Francois - our host. He was was marvelous, extremely helpful and very entertaining! He took... More
