The wife and I share a love of food and wine. Together, we've discovered an appreciation for Bordeaux. So, it was a no-brainer when planning our honeymoon to spend it in Bordeaux to learn about and experience some great wines as well as great food. After doing a lot of research, the Bordeaux Wine Experience rose to the top of... More

We can’t even begin to express our gratitude for the phenomenal experience that Margaret and Ronald Rens provided for us. We had high expectations but they far exceeded everything we imagined. We planned for this to be the trip of our lifetime, but now we realize we must come back again as alumni. The wines, the food, the Chateau facilities,... More

Experience Bordeaux in a way that would simply not be available to mere mortals. Experience Bordeaux from your home away from home, that is if you home was an 18th century Chateau set on many wooded acres in the Bordeaux countryside. Experience Bordeaux bonded with a handful of like-minded souls who want to understand and taste fine wines, eat amazing... More

The Bordeaux Wine Experience has to represent the absolute pinnacle of any tour offering in the Bordeaux region. It more than exceeded our expectations. Ronald and Margaret, our hosts, exemplify the warm and sharing attributes that characterize wine people everywhere. You stay in a luxury suite in a beautifully renovated 18th-century chateau, with just six suites total, making for a... More

Ronald and Margaret open their Chateaux and share their lives with guests during the tour. Their insight and personal knowledge of wine and the Bordeaux region makes this a unique experience. Each day was filled with visits to first class vinyards, where we tasted and dined. The wines were excellent and gave us Americans a new appreciation for Bordeaux wines.

What a great experience, the grounds and buildings are beautiful. The hosts are so helpful and friendly, willing at any time to share their knowledge of wine, restaurants or the area. We liked the rural location, yet close to all you need to see. Our gite was large, maybe the only complaint was it was a bit dark and damp,... More

Thanks for the nice comments; it’s nice to hear that you had such a good time with us. We really enjoyed having you guys here. I am happy to let you know that the damp thing has been solved; we have installed air-conditioning in all our accommodation. In extreme weather conditions like the extreme rain we had when you were... More

Causal elegance, spectacular countryside vista's, world class wines and chateaus, private suite accommodations and hosts that make you feel welcome 24/7. The Bordeaux Wine Experience is a wine tour like no other and should not be missed.

After much research for a wine tour in Bordeaux, we decided to go with Ronald & Margaret's bxwinex, "The Bordeaux Wine Experience" in September. It was the right choice as we soon discovered it was not just a wine tour in Bordeaux, it was truly a Bordeaux wine experience with a small group of guests. During the tour, guests stay... More

My husband and I just returned from a month in France and The Bordeaux Wine Experience was definitely the highlight of our vacation. When we arrived at Chateau Coulon Laurensac, we were warmly greeted by Ronald and Margaret Rens and given a welcome glass of champagne as well as a personal tour of the property. We were very pleased with... More

My wife and I recently returned from an excellent week in Bordeaux, visiting Ronald and Margaret Rens at Chateau Coulon Laurensac. We attended the 2012 Harvest Tour. I have been a lover of French wines for over twenty years. My wife and I have travelled extensively in Europe, and without exception our "Experience" at The Bordeaux Wine Experience was top-notch....
