We went back to Chateau Coulon Laurensac this June, 2015 after our first visit five years ago. We were a bit apprehensive thinking that perhaps we would not enjoy it as much the second time around. We're pleased to say that we enjoyed it even more. Simply put, this is a fantastic vacation, especially if you enjoy good food and... More

In the early summer of 2008, my husband, Don, and I had the extreme pleasure of visiting Chateau Coulon Laurensac and meeting warm, gregarious Ronald and lovely, efficient, kind Margaret Rens. Two finer people would be hard to find and they quickly became friends, as well as hosts extraordinaire and fine teachers. We spent five days touring the various areas... More

If you ever dreamed of visiting the first growths of Bordeaux then look no further. Ronald and Margaret Rens make dreams come true. We stayed at their beautiful Chateau Coulon Laurensac where every need was anticipated right down to the bouquet of flowers that greeted us in our suite upon arrival. From the Chateau we went on daily excursions with... More

Thank you to all the Trip Advisor reviewers who strongly endorsed the Bordeaux Wine Experience. Because of you, in May 2015 we had the best vacation ever--the Grand Tour of Bordeaux. Last year I was looking for a Bordeaux vacation as a Christmas gift for my husband who is a self-described wine snob. We have been going to Napa every... More

We joined a small (10 person) group for 5 days of private wine touring among Bordeaux's top chateaux and restaurants. The couple who run The Bordeaux Wine Experience were fun, knowledgeable, and well connected. We stayed in their Chateau Coulon Laurensac and made daily excursions. We tasted a huge variety of highly rated wines. Couldn't recommend it more highly.

The wife and I share a love of food and wine. Together, we've discovered an appreciation for Bordeaux. So, it was a no-brainer when planning our honeymoon to spend it in Bordeaux to learn about and experience some great wines as well as great food. After doing a lot of research, the Bordeaux Wine Experience rose to the top of... More

We can’t even begin to express our gratitude for the phenomenal experience that Margaret and Ronald Rens provided for us. We had high expectations but they far exceeded everything we imagined. We planned for this to be the trip of our lifetime, but now we realize we must come back again as alumni. The wines, the food, the Chateau facilities,... More

Experience Bordeaux in a way that would simply not be available to mere mortals. Experience Bordeaux from your home away from home, that is if you home was an 18th century Chateau set on many wooded acres in the Bordeaux countryside. Experience Bordeaux bonded with a handful of like-minded souls who want to understand and taste fine wines, eat amazing... More

The Bordeaux Wine Experience has to represent the absolute pinnacle of any tour offering in the Bordeaux region. It more than exceeded our expectations. Ronald and Margaret, our hosts, exemplify the warm and sharing attributes that characterize wine people everywhere. You stay in a luxury suite in a beautifully renovated 18th-century chateau, with just six suites total, making for a... More

Ronald and Margaret open their Chateaux and share their lives with guests during the tour. Their insight and personal knowledge of wine and the Bordeaux region makes this a unique experience. Each day was filled with visits to first class vinyards, where we tasted and dined. The wines were excellent and gave us Americans a new appreciation for Bordeaux wines.
