Bespoke hotel with individual rooms, magnificent views, wonderful food, friendly and helpful staff and a great central location close to all amenities. Pleased to have the opportunity of staying at Schooners again.

Travelled to Hugh Town from Exeter Airport. Only a short flight (albeit a bit noisy due to the plane being prop-driven). The plane was small, so worth checking what you bring on board as there are no lockers for storage. Stayed on Schooners Hotel in Oct 2015 for 4 nights. A lovely wee hotel with very friendly staff that couldn't... More

Situated right on the shore line, this charming, friendly hotel is very conveniently located for boat services from the harbour and a good range of local restaurants. Rooms are not over-large but have been thoughtfully and tastefully decorated and equipped, making our stay very comfortable. Breakfasts and evening meals were of a really good standard. Minor drawback was the number... More

Very nice hotel situated in the centre of Hugh Town, on St Mary's, very close to the beach and to all facilities. We were met by a very warm and friendly welcome by Joanna, who runs the hotel. Breakfast is great, with fresh products from nearby farms. As for our room, it was quite small but we were expecting it.... More

Thank you for your lovely comments. I hope you will be back to try the delicious menu! Our chef is excellent and although we ask that you book dinner on the day of arrival you can decide each morning after. All the best Carol & Keith Buchanan More

We travelled to St.Marys via Scillion III. On arrival at Schooners Hotel we were greeted by very helpful friendly staff. Our case was taken up to our room & we were shown around. All okay, en-suite good, tea & coffee making facilities in room. No need to ask to replenish tea bags or coffee, fresh milk on hand in fridge... More

Superb location, friendly and helpful staff. Simple in facilities and decor. No doubt there are posher and better serviced hotels BUT there are few if any that have beach to the door. We woke each morning, drew back the curtains, surveyed the beach and boats of the harbour and sat thinking "now that's how to start a day" You must... More

Thank you for your comments. We are not sure if Elvis is a boy or a girl.. I should invite one of our many keen ornithologists on the island over for a drink to decide maybe.. Hope to see you again soon Regards Carol & Keith & all the staff at Schooners Hotel. More

Fantastic food, the breakfast really set you up for the day and the evening meal was equally as good as the meal we had at Star Castle on the Sunday. The superb staff could not have been more helpful Joanne went the extra mile every day. The perfect location easy to jump on the boats to visit the other islands... More

As an introduction to the Scilly Isles for some friends 3 days in this friendly and spotlessly clean hotel couldn't be bettered. Rooms are compact but acceptable and since the weather was great we spent most of our time outside anyway. Breakfast was a more than acceptable start to the day and thereafter you can choose from a 20 yard... More

Lovely hotel, the staff were wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. Joanne and Anuwat were delightful. The room was clean and had everything you needed. View straight onto the beach , great location. Food was superb and evening meal was £10 for 3 courses . Would definitely stay again!!

Stayed for 3 nights and had 2 different rooms as I was joined later by my husband. The hotel is in a quiet position right on the harbour beach and the sunset is free from the outside table by the bar. There are several quite narrow staircases and no lift so not so easy if mobility is an issue. The... More
