Had a fantastic lunch with friends the previous week, however this week was marred! Our booking was lost, but this was rectified, unfortunately they failed to put our pudding order through.... After we requested an eta some 25mins later, we were given a poor and insulting excuse, and under the circumstances the apology did not cut it! We live locally... More

This was the first time Kernow Miner had been here for a while, picking it as a venue for revered wife's birthday. Booked on line, reminder sent by text and email in case we'd forgotten. Five adults and two children. Pub is immaculate, and I do mean immaculate. Usual beers, lagers and wines, plus soft drinks. Cards taken. Disabled and... More

Visited this country pub early Saturday evening where we enjoyed a very good meal and drinks. I had the burger which was one of the better burgers I have had out. Ham hock and chicken with prosciutto and pine nuts also looked excellent. Desserts were also good and home made although could have had an extra choice or two. Service... More

We came to the pub for lunch and all just had starters/soups because we just wanted a light bite. The food was nice but I did think that the menu was quite limited and the prices, for what we got, were very high. However, we had no complaints and enjoyed our meals. Then a few days later all of the... More

Came here to eat, to be honest its not the best , the menu is limited , my mum had roast , if you could call it that , she had chicken legs on her plate , instead of real slices of meat , bar not bad if you like ale , didn'nt hang around for desert , beautiful suroundings... More

After forgetting my 40th Birthday, my partner suggested we pop down the road a bit for a meal with my teenage daughter. Upon entering the pub was devoid of customers. We bought a drink and asked to see the menu. It was about 8.30p.m. We were told that they were sorry but they were fully booked tonight and would not... More

We booked the bed and breakfast for my partner and I and also a room for a work colleague purely based on price and location. What a treat. Truly fabulous setting in a picturesque and quaint village. Had a lovely walk round the village in the bright sunshine, the next morning, and felt so pleased to be there. The pub... More

Visited here and enjoyed the Sunday lunch. The portions were generous and represent very good value for money. We treated ourselves to a small ice-cream because we were so full but it also looked tempting. Thanks.

...it was with anticipation that we crossed the car park and entered the hostelry. Excellent turkey pie for me, cottage pie and roast chicken for the others...a roaring fire is another enticement...mid week means there are not too many customers

We went here last night for dinner. The welcome was friendly, the menu varied and different, the food when it came was faultless, well cooked, full of flavour and nicely presented. It was mid week and no, it wasn't packed, but there was enough people there to give it atmosphere, exactly what you would expect in a out of the... More
