This is the second year running we've stayed at this hotel . And once again we loved every moment of our stay . The staff were so friendly and welcoming , and extremely hard working ! Nothing was to much trouble for them , so lovely . Each evening after a stunning meal we would sit in the cozy bar... More

We arrived at the hotel late evening and managed to find a parking space. The overall impression once inside was good & the stained glass window was stunning. When my husband booked the the accommodation it was the only room available for 3 adults & there were a lot of stairs to get to it! Indeed there were many stairs... More

The hotel is full of character. We stayed in a superior room with seaview. Although a littled dated, (handles off drawers etc) the room was comfy and very specious. The ensuite was tiny. A shower, wc and hand basin. Just enough room to squeeze in. The indoor pool was great and very warm, however the showers by the pool are... More

We are a group of ladies who met through swimming, and get together once a year for a lunch. This is the third time we have chosen this hotel as the lunches are delicious, there's a huge choice for your two or three courses, the staff are friendly and accommodating, and the lounge is roomy and comfy for before and... Whitsand Bay hotel, Portwrinkle, Cornwall. This is a lovely manor type country house and as you drive down the steep hill towards it you get stunning panoramic views of Rame Peninsular. This is a Victorian building, tall with high ceilings and a lovely stain glass window on the large staircase. It has an indoor swimming pool and a golf course... More

Three friends and I went for the New Year's Eve package- the weather was awful but we had a brilliant time. There was lots to do in the leisure centre, food was really good and the rooms very comfortable-and the family made sure we were well entertained!

My husband and I have just returned from another fabulous stay at the family run Whitsand Bay Hotel and as usual were made most welcome by all the lovely staff and the Phillips family who own the beautiful Victorian property at the stunning location at Portwrinkle in Cornwall. I have been coming to the hotel for 12 years now, almost... More

Trouble is the game they enjoy is irritating the hell out of guests. I've been before to this outdated hotel and it is tolerable but the food saves it. However we were on a trip to south coast and thought we'd stop off here for some lunch. I phoned ahead and checked all ok and was told by Helen, yes... More

I stayed here for 1 night while walking the coast path. As a single person the hotel isn't good value (£90 for dinner, bed and breakfast) but in December not much else is available. As often happens when booking for a single person, the room was small, and the bathroom tiny (anyone large would have had difficulty squeezing between the... More
