Chose to have a 'suite' in this hotel and as I travel extensively I thought I would treat myself. Whilst the grounds and the scenery surrounding the hotel are magnificent the room was a distinct let down. It had a mezzanine floor with the living room upstairs (wrong way around for me) no TV downstairs in the bedroom and the... More

Stayed for one night for my cousins wedding. Check in was very quick. Room had a downstairs and an upstairs. Wasn't modern but in keeping with the hotel. Wasn't happy with the two singles pushed together and the room electric works on the card so it meant the phone was never charged. There is no phone signal at the hotel,... More

Stayed overnight recently for a friend's wedding reception. Food was nice, service at the bar was good. No idea where they get the price of £150.00 for a double room! Although it was generally clean there were cobwebs round the radiator in the bathroom. Free wifi was a bonus. At breakfast, the food was ok but we had to ask... More

I spent one night here for a friends wedding. The hotel is in the heart of beautiful countryside and the mature gardens provide a perfect wedding setting. Staff very attentive. Food was outstanding. The only (small) downfall which is why I didn't give full 5 marks throughout was that I couldn't get my room telephone to work as it had... More

This hotel is just about perfect. Really good food, comfortable and spacious room with lovely views. Beautiful gardens. Great location, walking distance of village pub and close to some really good walking country in the Forest of Bowland.

Until we were invited to a wedding here I'd never heard of the Gibbon Bridge hotel. Turns out that it's a gem of a find very close to Preston. Despite this it feels like it's out in the middle of nowhere (please note for connection addicts there is NO mobile reception - bliss - but free wifi throughout the hotel).... More

Paid for a 3 night stay, could have gone abroad for the price but wanted something a little special and was happy to pay. Staff were lovely but at times could be a bit... rare. Bread with breakfast was advertised as freshly baked in the on-site bakery every morning. In that case how did we get mouldy bread? Brought it... More

Stayed here for a wedding. Our twin levelled room was ace. Priced a bit more than we might normally pay? The food was great:- tomato soup tasted of...tomatoes! The pork & the veg was good, really good. I didn't want the pudding, but couldn't even buy a cheese option! The Chardonnay was good & too prevalent. Would go again, staff... More

We stayed for 1 night in late July as part of a Travelzoo offer (before the offer expired) - we opted to upgrade our room to a luxury suite - the ultimate decision was a garden view room (more later) The hotel is situated in a lovely unspoilt rural area - plenty of parking - check in was fine -... As I have mentioned before, this is our family go to for all occasions for 25 years!. We were here on a gorgeous day in July and had a lovely meal. The consistency is wonderful. The duck was delicious! We had our coffee/ tea outside and were left to sit and enjoy for as long as we wanted. It is... More
