We arrived to a dry and no snow location but this did not change our minds on the hotel and staff Fantastic venue and very professional approach to the smallest of detail The rooms are very different in that they are split over two levels with all the facilities you need, nothing was too much trouble

The location of this lovely hotel is tranquil and picturesque and the gardens are stunning to wander around in all seasons. We have stayed many times and have never been disappointed. From the moment we arrive the staff are helpful, courteous and welcoming which always continues throughout our stay. The food is delicious and is served quietly and efficiently. The... More

We have been to this hotel before over 4 years ago and had thought it to be a wonderful place. The food had been delicious. However our recent trip was disappointing. We went with our grandchildren for this special event. The hotel was far too busy and I don't think the staff could cope.We waited in a queue to enter... More

Pre lunch drinks were taken in a welcoming traditional warm reception area with a beautiful stone featured open fire . The dining room was light , and festively decorated , with views of the landscaped gardens . Music and Christmas favourites played by a pianist on a grand piano . Can't fault the food - and plentiful . Staff polite... More

Our expectations were high as this hotel is known locally and nationally. The evening began with one glass of champagne and average canapés. The 6 of us were the first to be seated - not in itself a problem. There were a choice of two starters until we specifically asked whether there was soup available. In addition, it was noted... Had not visited the Gibbon Bridge for some two years or so. Decided it might be a good venue for Christmas Day lunch with the family (Party of seven). Parking more than adequate. On entering the Bar Lounge the wood log fire, stone breasted chimney, wooden beams, and furniture/decor gave the whole place a feel of traditional old English charm.... More

After visiting here several times in the past 2 years. I recently returned to sample the once mouth watering menu. I was shocked and disappointed to discover that the menu didn't have all that much to offer and the quality of food was dire. I had the salmon while others I dinned with had the roast duck. When our meals... More

First visited in June and couldn't wait to go again, so met with some of the family for lunch and we all thought it was first class, with their home baked gluten free bread and rolls and a special g/f chocolate cake for dessert us coeliac diners can eat without exclusion …. now that's a novelty in most restaurants. We'll... More

A generally awful experience; 1. The hotel claims to be dog friendly; it is not. Like so many hotels, dog owners are forced to stay in designated rooms outside the main hotel. The dog is not allowed in the hotel at all, which means spending time either by himself in the car or else locked in the room. Nothing friendly... More
