When we are in the area we always try to stay at the Inn at Whitewell but this time we had to find another hotel as it was fully booked. The Gibbon Bridge looked nice and had good reviews so we gave it a try. We booked for two nights. We were booked in by a friendly female receptionist &... More

We enjoyed a superb lunch today with our friends to celebrate a birthday. As always all the staff were charming and attentive. And such a treat to see the log fire blazing away on a chilly day. Our last two visits during the last couple of months were for family anniversary celebrations, which we could not fault on any level.... More

My partner and I recently got married here in August. The owner and the staff were excellent throughout, we couldn't have asked for a better service. Nothing was too much, the rooms were fabulous, the food was great. They even made a dessert for us that wasn't on the menu! Janet the owner was welcoming and was constantly making sure... More

Booked in for afternoon tea Dinner Bed and Breakfast and everything was superb. This is a bit pricey as hotels go but for that special occasion it is well worth it. As the statement goes you get what you pay for. Whenever I write these reviews I try to balance them with the best thing and the worst thing about... More

From booking our party of 11 for a 2 night stay the whole experience has been wonderful. We arrived a bit early which wasn't a problem, we booked in and had a drink and lunch in the bar. All our meals were delicious, the staff went above and beyond on many occasions and Janet the owner answered any questions we... More

Attended a friends Wedding & the Breakfast was fabulous & large portion sizes. I helped with setting up the room & unfortunately found the owner of Gibbon Bridge (as she pointed out to me) extremely rude, blunt & un professional!

We are very disappointed in the indifference and lack of caring shown by Ms Simpson (owner) during the 100th birthday celebration of our aunt. Our aunt was not offered a verbal "Happy Birthday", a flower, or a glass of wine to celebrate during the weekend we were there. When my husband reminded you at breakfast the next day that we... More

We had booked this venue for an afternoon Diamond Anniversary Party. The quality of the food and the venue itself was excellent, we could not fault it at any level. The issue was more to do with the appalling service we received towards the end. The venue had a wedding reception booked on the same day. We had booked our... More

Chose to have a 'suite' in this hotel and as I travel extensively I thought I would treat myself. Whilst the grounds and the scenery surrounding the hotel are magnificent the room was a distinct let down. It had a mezzanine floor with the living room upstairs (wrong way around for me) no TV downstairs in the bedroom and the... More

Stayed for one night for my cousins wedding. Check in was very quick. Room had a downstairs and an upstairs. Wasn't modern but in keeping with the hotel. Wasn't happy with the two singles pushed together and the room electric works on the card so it meant the phone was never charged. There is no phone signal at the hotel,... More
