let me start off by saying we was very impressed by the look of the hotel and this would of been our choice of venue if it wasn't for the lady that showed us around being so rude! we was made to feel like our wedding would interrupt the Sunday lunch service. Basically we was told that if people wanted... More

Third time at this hotel, it is still an oasis of calm, luxury and relaxation in the heart of the Lancashire countryside. It has recently undergone a refurbishment in the dining area which looks amazing. The rooms are still very comfortable, the food still excellent and the staff - friendly, welcoming, professional and they are a major part of my... More

We stopped here on a weekend break with Friends. We have stayed here previously and its a great location for walks in the Forrest of Bowland, Pendle Hill areas. The common areas have recently been redecorated and are quite comfortable. The Staff were friendly helpful and polite. Helping make our stay a pleasant winter break. The restaurant offered excellent food... More

This really is a very special hotel. The rooms are amazing - many are two-floored, most with four-poster beds, some with jacuzzi....really amazing luxury! The hotel is set in truly beautiful grounds - the gardens are amazing, and are often used for wedding photos. I can well believe it! A fairly secluded spot, but easily findable. To top it off,... My fiancée and I recently booked the Gibbon Bridge for our upcoming wedding in July. When we had a tour of the venue we instantly fell in love. Beautiful log burning fire in the communal area, and amazing gardens. We were also given four random keys for rooms that were vacant and showed ourselves around. The rooms we saw looked... More

My wife and I have recently spent two very enjoyable nights at the Gibbon Bridge. In contrast to some reviews we could not find fault with the hotel. We had booked a suite, split level with a large and very comfortable double bed. The lower level, three steps down is a lounge area with two easy chairs, tv and dvd... More

We took advantage of the midweek deal but upgraded to a suite which was extremely comfortable. Although the weather was chilly and dull, the room was bright and cosy. We had dinner in the restaurant which was excellent. All the staff were very helpful, pleasant and courteous. We were greeted by Janet on arrival which was a nice touch. We... More

Not too sure if those who wrote some recent reviews were in the same hotel us!! We recently had an excellent 3 night DB&B midweek break (at a very reasonable price!), and were very impressed with the whole set up. All the staff we had dealings with were very helpful, courteous, well dressed and worked in a professional manner. The... More

We first visited Gibbon Bridge around 12 years ago when we were very impressed with our stay, I’ve always said the lamb in filo pastry with a green peppercorn sauce is the best single course I’ve ever eaten. For our return we decided to treat ourselves so booked a suite that we were told overlooked their beautiful gardens. We had... More

Unfortunately will not go back again. When we got there we went to our room and how disappointed was I. The room was worse than on the nightmare hotels on the TV. It was very tatty, paintwork was chipped, there was a big patch of damp under the window with paint pealing off the wall. The room was full of dust... More
