Stopped here on way back from Skye it was a chilly day and inside was roaring coal fire. How charming. The lady who was serving chatted away as if she'd known you all her life. The food was hearty and wholesome would recommend the venison and sticky toffee pudding

Stopped off for an early evening meal on the way back to our campsite. We had heard from someone else on the site that the food was good. We both chose the special which was slow roasted belly of pork. Having never had this dish before I didnt know what to expect and was not disappointed. The food was beautifully... More

Just had lunch at the Lochailort Inn. Great surroundings - it was a beautiful, sunny day but a bit chilly so it was great to sit by a roaring fire. A terrific selection; lovely, fresh food, beautifully cooked; substantial portions (I had the pate and the salmon en croute which were both delicious) - and a free glass of prosecco... More

Stayed here last month, I was surprised with the warm welcome and amazing location. The Inn was clean and the food was very tasty. The service was good and very efficient. Had an enjoyable time sitting by the fire with the locals listening to their tales. I would certainly recommend and come back.

The hotel is situated in a very rural location on the main A830 road between Fort William and Mallaig. We arrived by train and the inn is a 5 minute walk from Lochailort station (this is a request stop). Found the hotel on an internet search so did not know what to expect. We were travelling between Christmas and New... More

The Lochailort Inn, on the beautiful Road to the Isles, and only 300 metres from a remote railway station on the West Highland Railway, is the perfect place for a weekend to declutter and revive, what used to be called "getting away from it all". The refurbished and comfy hotel is set in outstanding scenery and on opening our curtains... More

25 May 2014 - heading back from Mallaig to Glen Coe in the evening - but - a car accident en route ahead of us put paid to that endeavour - a bad accident kept hundreds of motorists from passage (understandably) - no Glen Coe hotel unless we drove back on the Mallaig road and took a detour of about... Spent 3 nights here as a family group (4 rooms) from 9th to 12th October 2014 while attending our son's wedding. Very good location at the side of the road but no traffic noise to worry about. Easy to explore the surrounding countryside from here- Arisaig, Mallaig, Glenfinnan, Fort William. Rooms were spotlessly clean, food was excellent but what really... More

Just back from three great nights after a very last-minute booking. Very peaceful location but great for day trips to Mallaig and Arisaig, Glenfinnan and Ardnamurchan, as well as Fort William - either by car or by train (the station is only a few minutes walk away). Had breakfast and dinner all three days and couldn't fault the food at... More
