We often visit here on the way to stay with family and receive a warm welcome, the local pub regulars are friendly, food is great and the Sunday music sessions are fantastic, its family friendly as well.

What an incredible place to stay! Spacious room, excellent service, kind hotel staff, great morning breakfast, and superb dinner menu in the evenings made our two day stay a true delight! Also very child friendly. The only odd thing was the brown water, which we simply opted not to drink. Otherwise, a wonderful gem with a glorious mountain backyard.

Fantastic warm and friendly pub. Child menu is great and definitely a place for a family meal. Staff are lovely and service is excellent. Food is fabulous and good value. Well recommended and much better than other local pubs. Been here several times now over the past two years when visiting the area and it is always child friendly and... More

Thank you for your time to share your experience with us. I am very sorry to hear about the food and untidy room. This is very unusual situation and very first one of this sort. Unfortunately, our Chef has been away for the time you stayed and we were trying out a new Chef. I can ensure you that the... More

Cozy hotel with excellent service and the best food I had in Scotland. Convenient location on a main road, but still very quiet (it is rural Scotland!). The room was comfortable, and the shower was very good. I'm so glad we decided to eat dinner here, because the food was excellent and local -- we had salmon that had been... More

This is very much a classic Inn. It is actually miles from anything other than the local railway station. Its on the main road, and can be noisy if the local motorcyclists are on form that evening. The rooms are fine, a little basic but clean, loads of hot water and nice clean linen. Tv has freeview cable and so... More

Very hospitable and cosy. A life saver after we were let down by a B&B we had reserved in Mallaig. Nothing was too much trouble for Pauline who kindly fed us late and gave us lots of local tips. The manageress Eilidh was there for breakfast which was also superb. Scottish hospitality at its best.

This inn is a fun stop when heading from Edinburgh to the Isle of Skye. The inn is a 5-10 minute walk from the ScotRail platform, the food is tasty, staff are very friendly, it's quiet, and nice Scottish countryside views. My wife and I actually visited back in 2012 and loved the atmosphere of the place. We ended up... More

Stopped here on way back from Skye it was a chilly day and inside was roaring coal fire. How charming. The lady who was serving chatted away as if she'd known you all her life. The food was hearty and wholesome would recommend the venison and sticky toffee pudding
