The rooms are large, the setting is by the sea in a rural community, there is also a small kitchenette. The problem is, as is common with most Greek accommodation I have stayed in is that the toilet, shower and washbasin are crammed into a really tiny space, making any experience there uncomfortable. I hated the way the shower curtain... More

Spacious clean room, kitchen equipment, balconies - absolutely comfortable living. Polite and friendly staff. Close to sea. No hot water in shower at the beginning of day - suppose due to sun batteries :) Just one small shop available close to hotel. But convenient and cheap bus can be used to get in Khalkida or nearest village.

We found this hotel looking for a last minute booking and i'm glad we did. The hotel is excellent, and way too good value for your money. The room we stayed at was very spacious, with a big balcony and equipped kitchenette complete with a normal size fridge! The room was clean, everything working, perfect. If i could change something,... More

Stayed her for a stopover for one night with friends. Room was husge and very clean. As we had a corner room we had a round about balcony with views of the sea. Would love to return in the summer. Just a pity the restaurant was only opened at the weekend as the breakfast was very good and it would... More

Stayed here for one night on a stopover. Huge rooms, very clean, friendly polite staff and a decent breakfast. Price very reasonable. Would happily stay again, hopefully in the summer months, so as to get use of the pool. Unfortunately, restaurant open only weekends in the winter, so can't comment on that.

I honestly believe my 1-day stay at the Philoxenia can be rated among my top10 B&B stays in Greece. Where should I start? 1) Extremely polite and helpful staff. Dressed impeccably, behaved like proper professionals. 2) Absolutely no fuss when it came to our reservation having to be changed. 3) Huge rooms, and I mean huge. Very clean and modern.... More

Philoxenia hotel is a very nice, new hotel with a small pool. We had a very big room with kitchen at the 4th floor with a big terrasse with an amazing view over the landscape with mountains in the background. We could also see the sea, it was really beautiful. The beds very good, all very clean. The aircondition made... More

When i first met the manager of Philoxenia hotel i was really taken by his warm smile and welcoming manner. Gregory is one of a kind and an incredible host. If you need to stay out of the central Greece mainstream of Athens and all that hubba bubba then Philoxenia is just an hour or so away. I found the... More

Not fancy, but brand new, well-constructed, very spacious, and very reasonably priced. The Philoxenia has 14 rooms and 15 suite/apartments, in a variety of sizes. The one our family of five stayed in was definitely not the largest, and yet there was more than ample room for all. Very efficient and friendly staff, everything was very clean. Large balconies, many... More
