The Amandari experience starts at the airport where one is met at the aircraft door and ushered through visa and immigration before reaching baggage reclaim. One of our bags had "opted" to remain in KL but our hosts knew about this before we did and ensured that all formalities were completed and on which flight our bag would arrive. This... More

Amandari is the perfect place if you want to experience Balinese culture. It's designed like you're living in a Balinese village surrounded with lush greens, my balcony had a breathtaking view of their rice terraces. It is here in Ubud I got to try their delicious Ayam Betutu and Babi Guling which are probably what I will miss most. I... More

Any Aman Resort is going to be over the top. They are serene, exotic and architecturally beyond imagination.. Once you stay in one you are hooked! We call it "An Aman Groupie" One doesn't need to be on a honeymoon but you will feel like it anyway. There are 3 Aman resorts in Bali 2 on the island of Bali... More

We stayed here for 4 nights. The resort is spectacular and the service is as well. There were very few other guests during the time we were there...I'd guess 6 (three couples). Amanda offers "trekking", white water rafting, mountain climbing, and other outdoorsy activities. We did not try them as we hired car/driver/guide each day to see as much of... More

After staying at Amanjiwa last year, we fell completely in love with Aman resorts and decided to book a week in Bali with 2 nights at Amandari and 4 nights at Amankila. The reservation and organisation of everything was faultless - there was a car to collect us from the airport and also to take us from one resort to... More

One couldn't want a more serene, lovingly cared for, perfect resort. We've returned after a year away and couldn't wait to get back. We've taken quite a side trip having disembarked a ship in Singapore and going on to India but we wanted to get back here and there's no time like the present. Amandari is just exactly as we... I had been wanting to try Aman hotels for a long time, and this was my first - and not my last. Overall, I really loved the village aspect of this place. It seemed like it was just carved out of the forest!! Our room had an amazing view that seriously just soothed me - just very green - rice... More

After the very busy Christmas and New Year, my husband and I decided to take a few days off. Being a Bali resident, we've tried all the Aman resorts on the island with the exception of Amandari. From a few friends we heard the resort is looking a little tired as it is after all the second Aman resort, after... More

This hotel is situated in the middle of Ubud, a major artist and cultural center. The jungle surrounds you and the feel is truly peaceful. We stayed in the Pool Suites. I did not like the rooms where the bedroom was up a flight of stairs. I changed to a 1 floor suite with a private pool which was heavenly.... More

Nestled on a hillside near Ubud is the Amandari Hotel. A gem, without equal. From the moment we arrived ( extraordinary service, gorgeous villa, beautiful grounds) to the moment we departed we were surrounded by beauty, serenity, and unparalleled care. We had the impression that they sat around thinking about what we might like. We did not feel like guests,... More
