This was our first time to Bali and we weren't sure what to expect. The hotel will pick you up at the airport and its complementary, so no fighting with a taxi driver over prices. I will make this brief and not bother with all the great little details. If you want a five star experience just book an AMAN... More

Stayed here for a few days before going to the Legian. Both hotels are lovely but very different. This is more authentic and Ubud is a great town. Romantic location, good food, rooms are beautiful but beginning to look a little bit tired....but still beautiful. We did the bicycle trip one morning and that was the highlight for me...sleeping the... More

We stayed at the Amandari with our two girls of 6 and 8 during the busy tourist time of August. We booked a pool villa as our girls can be quite lively and we did not want them to distrurb other guests at the main pool. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend the hotel to every one. Amandari is like Bali itself: Peaceful, timeless, spiritual. Turning off a busy road near Ubud one can hardly imagine the retreat that lies at the end of a long drive. Thatched rooftops, stone carvings and courtyards with fountains and lilly pads transport you into a Balinese village overlooking the rice terraces across the Ayung River valley. Enormous kites float languidly... More

We were lucky enough to stay in a Duplex Pool Suite, and oh my was i speachless when i walked into the massive living area which has floor to ceiling windows/doors overlooking the rice fields of Ubud. Then continue upstairs to a large bedroom again overlooking that beautiful view of the fields and your private pool. This hotel has a... More

This hotel is the quintessential luxury experience in South East Asia. The hotel is designed on a traditional Balinese village and feels like it has been part of the jungle of Ubud forever. Once inside our suite we were blown away by the spacious living area and bathrooms; we were upgraded to a pool suite which meant a personal infinity... More

Amandari is a gorgeous luxury resort in Ubud, the cultural heart of Bali, with awe inspiring Balinese temples, and local arts and crafts. The music and dancers are amazing, especially the small children and their unique form of dance. After you land in Jakarta, a white jeep from the hotel will meet you at the airport for a ride to... We were here for a wedding but didn't stay at the hotel. Food was simply excellent and not the usual wedding fare. The hotel itself was decorated just perfectly and the hotel grounds are stunning. We had a great time.

Undoubtedly it must be tough to keep thatched wooden chalets in the jungle in tip top condition, but we felt that for an expensive Aman, they need to refurb it. We had a pool suite which was very spacious, massive living room, where our daughter had a double bed, and we had a great bedroom upstairs. The pool and terrace... More
