Really loved this place. Great setting, cute wildlife, friendly staff. The restaurant has good and cheap vegetarian options too. The breakfast was included in the room price, which was nice. It was a relatively short drive from the excellent Tenorio volcano park.

Hacienda is very nice, the connon areas are well maintained, rooms are spacious, clean, nice a cute. We love it there and go often to enjoy the place. The only bad thing is the service at the restaurant and the quality of the foid which is bad.

For our first night in CR, we thought it made sense to stay an hour outside of Liberia before we drove the rest of the way to Manuel Antonio. La Pacifica had a reasonably priced “villa” for us to stay in. We expected it to be pretty basic, but we were unpleasantly surprised by what we found in Villa 5.... More

When we booked, this hotel was just a stop on the way to La Fortuna/Arenal, but it turned into one of our favourite destinations. Our room was basic and comfortable, but the real attraction is the natural setting and the abundance of wildlife. Deer and roosters came to visit us at the hotel restaurant (which has good food); the next... More

This hotel is located on the site of an old Guanacaste farm. It is large and the rooms are far flung. There is a local population of deers who live here, and you will see them roam peacefully around the rooms and the swimming pool. The rooms are large and well kept. The fee per night is about 65 USD... More

Extremely friendly people. The hotel is close to Liberia and the airport and is great for first or last night in the country. Set back from the highway so that you don't perceive the noise or rush. Beautiful grounds and large pool. Food is great. Lots of surrounding wildlife. Las Pumas wildcat rehabilitation centre is next door.

We spent our first night in Costa Rica in this hotel. Rooms are spacious, forget about soundproofing, you'll hear everything if you have a neighbour... breakfast is included and is good. There is a huge park where you can walk and see many different animals (deers, monkeys, ants...). Staff doesn't really pay attention to customers even if you speak Spanish.... More

I stayed here this past week with a friend based on reviews here, and we were hugely disappointed. Beware, there are clearly two types of rooms here- newly renovated (as seen in photos here and on the hotel's website) and very old rooms. We were assigned an old room which was not only tiny and dark, but covered in ants... More
