lovely hotel, close to Caves Beach . a little pricey. nice atmosphere to go for a casual beer, is popular on the weekends so may need to pack a bbq and head down to the caves for a bbq, explore the caves at low tide, or climb to the lookout and look for whales as they migrate to qld. has... More

I didnt stay here however my father and i did stop in for lunch. I waited at reception for 6 minutes with another patron before giving up and just wandering around, it was easy to find the bar, 85% not offering service, when I found the service area I was greeted with 'what can i get you'... Food, was super... More

I would agree with the general tone of the comments made by cmcinsydney: in particular, we stayed in the same Room 1, and experienced the same lack of privacy. I was annoyed by the attempt of the receptionist to photocopy my driver's licence and credit card, despite the fact I had offered to pay on booking in. I asked about... More

The location is lovely, a short walk across the park from the beach. The beach rooms are also quite large. That is the end of the positives about this place. I was given Room1 which is the one closest to the restaurant / pub. This means that the people sitting on the balcony at the restaurant / pub are literally... More

We stayed in villa 8 with spa. It was amazing. Reading all previous reviews and thinking if we just got that lucky to enjoy everything on Australia day there - room is amazing, everything was working (PS: there is a separate button to turn spa on, and only after you press the regular button for spa on the bath-tub), service... A good location for the beach. We stayed in one of the beach suits next to the lake and it was quiet, which it said it would be. However the room furnishings were tired with the lamp shade fraying and the door blind coming detached and the bed sheets did not look like they had been changed during our week... More

Stayed here for work. Best hotel and location albeit price is on the high side. But despite the price, this hotel is on the revisit list with my husband. The setting and environment is comfortable, understated, romantic and with reasonable drive to the industrial centers for the business traveller. Unwind after work by walking along a quiet stretch of the... More

This place looked good from other reviews and the web site - but our experience was terrible. The room had potential but was built on the cheap and for some reason we were given a room that was the longest walk from the reception - we were told that it would be private. No kidding! The restaurant and bar are... More

Stayed for 2 nights with my wife to celebrate my 60th birthday. First impressions were good but soon discovered the spa wouldn't work. Next surprise was the light breakfast was "really light". 2x small packets of cereal, one small tub of yoghurt and one small tub of fruit plus 4 slices of bread for toast. When paying over $300 a... Paradise for me...totally relaxing place where you can quietly get on with your own wee holiday world. We must have luckily been placed in a brand new beach house...roomy, beachy/modern well appointed. If you want a meal can get a lovely big well priced feed at the restaurant or just a drink n the bar. It was a real tonic... More
