This was a wonderful place to stay on the camino to Santiago. Very clean, modern, and newly furnished room. The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating, offering advice on great places to dine. The breakfast that was arranged with the room at the nearby cafe was excellent. Highly recommend this as a great stop on the Camino Frances.

Prologue: We made the St. James way during the first week of April. We booked through an agency all the hostels at the different stretches (with half board). Our comments refer to the expectations we had in relation to what we paid the agency. The number of stars are instead related to the price/quality ratio if you just want to... More

This establishment is called “Pensión” (similar to a guesthouse) because of bureaucratic issues. Eg. It does not have a separate TV room or a restaurant. We got, however, an excellent and spacious room similar in quality to what you could expect in a high 3-star hotel or even in a 4-star hotel. I must say we were given the “handicapped”... More

Do not be put off by the word "Hostal". This place was rated like a 2 or possibly 3 star hotel. The receptionist was friendly and accommodating. She collected ice for my sore leg and organised a masseuse on my request. After walking 48km from Palas de Rei, checking into my nice comfortable room and having a hot shower was... More

This was a great hotel choice for our last night before the final push to Santiago. The rooms were very modern and clean, the hotel looks very new. The bathroom in the hotel was very nice, and the shower was awesome - hot and strong water pressure. The hotel is located on kind of the main drag, near plenty of... More

Hostal Platas (Pension Residential Platas) in O Pedrouzo was a great stop for the last night before the walk to Santiago. The hotel is reasonably priced, very modern, clean. The rooms and bathrooms are attractively decorated. The front desk staff speak English (which is not always the case on the Camino). The town itself is a short walk off the main... More

This was a great place to stay after a long day hiking and a perfect stop before the last day hike into santiago. The hotel was easy to find and had three restaurants very close. The room was a little larger than the last couple places . It was bright and very modern room with a great shower! Staff was... More

This hotel could do itself a favour and put a sign at the intersection of the N-547 with the Camino. If you know to turn left it is really easy to find; if not - it is a long way back! The rooms were basic yet comfortable and clean. I loved the shutters on the window for total blockout and... More
