Just back from a long weekend at Metairie Montplaisir - what an amazing place. We absolutely loved it and are already planning our next stay. Amélie and her family are so welcoming and there's nothing they haven't thought of. The food and wine is to die for and the pool and gardens divine. We were relaxed within minutes of getting... Wonderful stay with my wife and teenage daughter. Amelie is so lovely, and everything is perfect. Nothing to do in the village, but who cares? The House is beautiful, with glorious gardens and pool area. The food is excellent. Merci beaucoup! We will return !!

This has the unbeatable combination of a beautifully situated, pretty hotel with outstanding cuisine (run by Amelie's mother) and wonderful hospitality from Amelie herself. . She emailed us after our booking and booked a cab to pick us up from Carcassonne station. She could not have been more helpful. An ideal base to explore a fascinating region or as an... More

From the minute you arrive to receive Amelie,s warm welcome you feel wrapped in a place designed to please you in every way. Well equipped bedrooms and bathrooms, with comfortable beds. Food to make you wish you were staying longer. Everything cooked by Mother who used to own a restaurant in Nice before moving to Carcassonne. Home made jams at... More

We travelled across France for two and a bit weeks in April staying in some great places. Our stay at Amelie's was one of the best. We stayed in the Carlotta room, it's was beautifully decorated, spotless and even with extra beds there was plenty of room for us. Breakfasts were a real treat and Amelie's mum's cooking was superb.... More

Amelie is a wonderful host - very warm and welcoming and she and her mother are both wonderful cooks - beautiful breakfasts and delightful dinners! We stayed in the atelier, which was beautifully decorated and a great place for a romantic and relaxing holiday. I especially appreciated the fact that Amelie went out of her way to accommodate my special... More

3 days here during our 10 day break to France, really was not enough. We were relaxed within hours of arriving, we were welcomed to the property as if we were old friends. The accommodation was high class and stylish, the wine delicious and the food was divine and amazing value - the only problem being was that we couldn't... More

A great welcome from Amelie herself made one feel most welcome. Her mother cooks the food which was interesting and good. Our room was nicely decorated with a good bathroom en suite. A delicious plate of fresh fruit at breakfast supported fresh croissants and jams. Altogether a great place to stay in the Carcassonne area.

A wonderful hotel. Great food, individually decorated rooms in a building full of character and extensive grounds where you can find space to relax in the shade (or even relax in a hammock). The breakfast is really worth getting up for, natural food wonderfully prepared and served at a suitably relaxed holiday time and pace. The evening meals are similarly... More
