We absolutely loved our stay at Scott and Joyce's lodge!! Thanks so much guys. The location is perfect - a short walk to the entrance of the park. It's also next to the water taxi drop off and pick up and also within 100 metres of some great places to eat. The room was a perfect size, very clean with... More

New owners Jocelyn and Scott very helpful about local sights , water taxi bookings and restaurants . Accommodation spacious and very clean although will soon need some refurbishment . All in all a great base for Abel Tasman National Park as only a few hundred yards from the entrance .

This property, under new ownership, is an excellent home base for exploring the spectacular Abel Tasman Nationakl Park. I underestimated both the quality and convenience of Marahau Lodge when I was booking from the U.S. I booked in only for our first night in the Park before moving on to a super luxury accomodation, the Awaroa Lodge. We liked Marahau... More

Hi donnaso, Thanks very much for the great review. We really appreciate it and also your comments on the Hot tub. I'm sorry that you found it not as clean as you liked or as warm. It's great to get feedback so we can ensure it doesn't happen again. We definitely try and cleanse the water everyday, but our water... More

We spent 3 nights here in order to explore the National Park (right on the doorstep). Owners Jocelyn and Scott could not have been more friendly and helpful and they arranged all our trips (kayaking, tramping) for us, as well as recommending the nearby Fat Tui burger van (a must!). There's also a jacuzzi and sauna for when you need... More

Just had 4 nights here to do some tramping. The lodge is well situated, well equipped, and extremely comfortable, particularly on an inclement day. Scott is very helpful with ideas and easy to get on with. It may seem a bit expensive but it is a treat and well worth it if you are lucky with the weather.

We stayed here for one night, had a night in the beautiful AT park and then another night back at Marahau Lodge. On return we were offered what I assume must be the honeymoon suite. It was huge and very well furnished. Both rooms we stayed in were tastefully decorated and absolutely spotlessly clean. Parking is available right outside your... More

The staff was fantastic and the rooms were spacious and well-equipped. The place was a bargain at about $140/night right. Apparently, the rooms are going to be redone soon. They had laundry and a kitchen as well.

This was by far the best lodge we stayed at on our 3 week family trip all over NZ. Owners are amazingly friendly and helpful couple and it shows in how efficient this place is. Kitchen has anything your heart desires and it very clean. Rooms are very comfortable. Most importantly this lodge is very close to the beach and... More

We stayed two nights here while hiking at Abel Tasman Park, and were so impressed with the clean, tasteful, and pleasant accommodations, the incredibly helpful host and hostess, and the beautiful location. We were able to catch up on laundry, sleep, and to satiate ourselves on the beauty of the park. There are three restaurants within a short walking distance,... More

Great comfortable accommodation, friendly owners who have thought of everything we might need & couldn't do enough for us. Definitely recommended as a place to stay at the end of a walk in AbelTasman Park.
