We wanted to go to the Abel Tasman but weren't sure where to camp. This was a random stop to check on availability but turned out to be a great find. The sites were very open but there were very few campers. All of the facilities were well maintained and they were working on new cabins. It was very convenient... More

My family (2 adults and 3 kids under 6) and I were intending to stay just 3 nights but ended up staying for 5. It was May so the camp wasn't very busy so we were able to choose the campsite that suited us. Perfect views across the bay, fantastic in the morning watching the sun rise and we had... More

The Place was alright. It was really clean! If you want some piece and quiet, this place in not for you! It seems that the stray bus comes on a regular basis to ravage the nice kitchen and facilities. The stray bus came in on both our visits there, and what tranquility there was, was ruined. Right before we went... More

I would have liked to give this place a higher rating, because it's actually quite a nice hostel / campsite to stay. Right next to Abel Tasman with adequate (not amazing) facilities. The common areas are kept fairly clean and overall the experience was quite comfortable. Now, it's a real shame the staff seems to do just about everything to... More

My first stop in the south island, I was still jetlaged, I wake up at 3am, and I had the most magnificent sky I ever see. The resort is nice clean and well maintained. the open fire place is quite the best evening spot of the resort.

We used a powered site for our stay here. The location is perfect for Abel Tasman. The kitchens were well equipped, with lots of fridges etc. The showers and toilets were clean enough - not as good as some other sites but certainly not bad at all. If you're looking for a quiet campsite this isn't it as it's quite... More

Really nice "hostel", little cottages with comfortable beds, clean areas, nice outdoor kitchen, tv lounge etc. In nature, surrounded by mountains and 5 minutes away from a long and beautiful costal walk. I recommend it, can be a bit noisy because of all the buses but still pretty nice.

This is a great backpackers lodge and they also have campsites and cabins. The kitchen facility is great very "hostel" style. They also have plenty of showers and bathrooms. I highly would recommend this!

We stayed in this hostel for 2 nights on our trip around New Zealand. The hostel is ideally located right beside the Able Tasman National Park. The dorm rooms were like brand new, really clean and plenty of space for 5 people. Each bed had its own socket which was great for charging phones etc. The kitchen is massive! Plenty... More

We arrived on the 4th March in the evening setup camp and was amazed with the facilities. The weather on the 5th was amazing so booked in for another night. Woke up on the 6th to a storm and our tent flooded. Our fault. We were very impressed with the camp, games room, tv room, 3 kitchen areas. Bbq areas.... More
