Thanks for the positive comments and good overall score. We're glad you had a good stay with us. Just to clarify; the reason our showers are coin operated is that without some form of time limit, people seem to shower for incredibly long time periods and the waiting time for other guests is really long. Facilities are a bit rundown. Showers have no pressure and even less when a tap is used. Kitchen and such are mediocre. Good playground for the kids. Right on the ocean and not far from the great walk make the location nice. An older lady staff member was absolutely shocking to my partner though when he asked for a park... More

I have spoken to the person who served your partner to get the other side of the story. Your partner asked for a map of the Abel Tasman National Park as he was under the impression he would be able to drive the Coastal Track. The staff member commented that unlike in a number of Australian national parks, it is... More

Very well placed for water taxis and walking some of the Abel Tasman track. Nice bistro/pub overlooking bay close by. Our site for motorhome quite spacious if threadbare. Need for more plug-in points so campervans don't park at funny angles, invading your space, to get plugged in. Showers, toilets, dump station etc. very much in need of modernisation. Despite its... After an extremely anxious drive up and down a windy road (as first time going to Marahau) ... we were in awe of the beach when it came in view. Park is close to the beach - a bonus! Hot when we stayed – cabin sleep out for 6 with small kitchenette and front porch. No ventilation available, and no... More

Just next to the park is a well kept campground across the street from the beach in Marahau. A great restaurant on site. The staff was helpful in arranging activities. We stayed in a cabin with a porch and small kitchenette. Bathrooms close by and clean.

A beautiful part of the world, so much to do in the Abel Tasman area. A great location across from the beach, the compact camping ground is across the road from the waterfront. Over Christmas they don't like long stays because they like to churn through the campers to support their water taxi business. Facilities could do with some upgrading... More

We stayed in a cabin (with a small kitchenette & front porch), and the bathroom facilities were close by. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff members were friendly and helpful, but what we really liked about this place is that it is very well connected to a great restaurant (Hooked on Marahau), a water taxi service and... We recently stayed in one of the cabins. The cabin was well fitted out with crockery and a sink and fridge. Being early February, the camp was relatively full but did not find it too noisy nor the facilities too busy. Whilst slightly more expensive than other similar accommodation at other locations, the extras i.e. fridge, kettle, sink and crockery... More

The location of this small campground is good and convenient for water taxis and walking tracks into Abel Tasman National Park. We camped for two nights between campervans and found it adequate although the kitchen has NO crockery or cooking utensils or any description. Luckily a kind person in the restaurant attached to the park lent us a pot and... More

Would not stay again. We were traveling in high season and were not surprised that the camp was crowded; this was to be expected. Even so, we stayed in other camps on our journey and none matched this one for noise levels. We were assigned a tent site in a lawn in front of the on-site backpackers' lodge. The backpackers...
