We stayed for 3 nights and would definitely come back! Room was gorgeous, food was fantastic! And staff really couldn't have been any friendlier or more helpful! Nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel really welcome! Brilliant location and reasonably priced!

As it was a special occasion we went to the Swan on Sat.July 20th for dinner. We had been there in April for lunch and that was excellent. It's a lovely pub in a nice village but sadly the food served for our dinner was very poor. The quality was poor as was the presentation of the food. For dishes... More

Nice pub atmosphere in the bar with decent menu. I stayed in room 1 which was large and had a roll top bath in the room. Bathroom was large and had z walk in shower. My only disappointment was at breakfast. When I asked for cereal I was told the only cereal the have was some kind of oats... Unbelievable,... More

3 of us ordered crab risotto with Brill fillet. astonished at the poor portions. Not enough of everything for the most expensive dish £18. Brill fillets so small, a quarter of normal fillet. Rip off! had to ask for more fish and extra bread to bulk up miserly portion! Would not recommend this pub to anyone if going for food,... More

We managed to drop in to the swan several times during our time in Wedmore where we enjoyed a latte (for her ladyship) and a pint of Thatchers (for me) The service was excellent on every occasion. The pub itself is a traditional pub, but very modern very clean and very friendly. The menu looked very interesting and changed every... More

We stayed here on Thursday and Friday night. This is a great pub with lovely rooms. However, we have given it a low score because it is on an extremely noisy road (the room is basically right on the main road through this area). This woke us up at 7am on the first morning and 6.20am on the second. After... More

The Swan is one of those pleasant tricks chance plays on one every now and then. We were visiting Cheddar and stayed in a B&B in Wedmore. As it was Easter and we hadn't booked in advance we had problems finding a place to dine. We strolled around, inquiring hopelessly at the places that caught our eyes, to no luck.... More

We have just moved to the area and decided to try the swan for an evening meal. When entering the pub the guy behind the bar was stocking the shelves and although turned to see my partner didn't say I won't be a minute but continued to stack the fridge until my partner asked if he was serving. For our... More

It wasn't the best time to appreciate it ( worst storm of a very stormy winter ) but one can imagine between say April and October there would be few nicer places to spend a weekend. The village is full of character with several lovely independent shops. Wedmore is convenient both for the Mendips ( Cheddar, Wookey Hole et al... More

Our second stay at The Swan.. Comfy room. Big bath. Good beer. Tasty food.. It would have been nice to have a little more choice at breakfast, such as fresh fruit etc. Shame that Wilkins cider is only used for cooking. It deserves to be sold across the bar alongside the good beers available. What (Wed)more can we say, other... More
