I stayed at Tommy's Place with the sole purpose of relaxing quietly after climbing Mt Kinabalu. It is an easy shared taxi (3 hours, 30MYR) from KK to Kudat from where you will be picked up by one of the friendly staff and taken direct to your place. The setting is beautiful with an almost deserted beach 1 minute across... More

We rented 1 night over villa 3 for 4 pax, find out it actually for 3 pax due to cleanliness issue over the extra bed. Not well-maintain. Dirty and dusty walk-in closet. Spacious room and new floor tiles. Love the bathroom. It is better than the old premises design. No Wifi access to the villa, only available for the lobby... More

First, the location is great. Head across the street and you are on the beach. Liked the hammocks. Rooms are ok, but expensive. Walls a bit too thin. Bed is comfy, hot water works. Wifi was mostly working. Restaurant: staff is friendly but slow. How can you run out of fish, if the sea is just 30 meters away? Do... More

New dive gear provided by ABorneo Dive. Friendly dive master. My team arrived late at 10.30pm, but support staff still waiting for us. We stayed at backpacker lodge. The dorm facility is basic, with fan and powerful portable air cooler. The surrounding is quite at night. The restaurant provides local and western style menu. Guest can rent bike and motorbike... The place grows on you or perhaps the area does. The room is as advertised with quiet functioning AC and hot water. Considering the remoteness the wifi works well, far better than I experienced in KK. You stay is for the location with almost deserted beaches to enjoy. The staff were friendly and although the menu is not extensive I... More

My mum and I booked this place by agoda.com which is more cheaper than you checked in at the counter. We find this place very amusing. Quiet.. A perfect spot to escape from the reality! Get the chance to listening the relaxing sounds of waves in 24 hours.. Waking up with the sea view which you can see it from... More

Checked the rooms and they were okay, food was okay, great to have internet, very nice staff, and they had no problems with us tenting on the vast expanse of unused, pristine beach across the road from them, as it was near the end of the road, tip of Borneo.

We came to see the Tip of Borneo and Tommy's place was available to stay. Our room was clean and tidy, the staff were helpful and the food was good value for money. We hired one of the motor bikes, this was not well maintained, had no front breaks and was unregistered It was quite an experience to travel to... More

We booked one of the villas. After a heavy rain shower the villa was flooded - not through the roof but from the ground i.e. plug holes incl toilet. So the villa was not in any condition to live in to say the least. The staff/management was fairly incompetent dealing with this. We ended up in another very basic, not... More

It's not a five star hotel but my experience was good. Basic clean room with working aircon, friendly staff and good food - but you don't travel this far off the beaten track not to go and explore which is what I did :) Met with local elders, went snorkeling on a recovering reef, thought I was done for when...
