Wedding 28th December 2014 (Kat&Kenny) Kenny and I were lucky enough to get married in this wonderful, magical and unique place, rich with history and a million untold stories. This was the first place we saw, and nothing we saw after this competed in anyway. Its design is very unique. I visited 3 times before we married and each time... More

Booked our wedding directly with the hotel, and could not have been easier. Visited for the first time the day before the wedding and knew we had made the right choice. The Great Hall was an amazing setting for a wedding, and as we were the only people there, we had a castle to ourselves for the day, which really... More

We stayed here during our wedding, it was part of the 'package' from the wedding bureau in Gretna. The hotel is beautiful, very clean and tidy. The service from the staff was second to none. And it's a few hundred yards from the Gretna outlet shopping centre...(a bonus if you have a few hours to kill). For our wedding we... More

Got married here last year which was amazing, returned for our first anniversary last week.. Absolutley love this place. The staff are brilliant, friendly, approachable and nothings too much trouble for any of them. They remembered us from the previous year and went out of their way to make the evening special for us, even though they had another wedding... More

We had our wedding here with a 2 night stay, Fri - Sun. We had a lot of people attending from the south of England and our aim was to give them an occasion to remember. The entire weekend was absolutely perfect. Our friends and family were blown away with the castle, the surroundings, the food but most of all... More

Well, a splendid Wedding day for the happy couple couldn't really fail could it? The wedding party took over the hotel and catered for almost every need. Huge rooms, four poster beds, deep baths (no diving board!) and a setting which reeked of Grand Scottish tradition. Really lovely food and accommodation made the happy event even happier.

Stayed overnight as part of a "Back Roads" trip. It really is a medieval castle but now in private hands. If you are looking for something different and a banquet dinner with "full Scottish breakfast" this is the place. The owner also took us around the grounds and told us some of the history. Fascinating

We have never been to Scotland before and were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived at Comlongon Castle we were treated like royalty. We received a very warm welcome from the friendly staff there. We stayed in the Murray Suite and it was superb and immaculate. All of our questions were answered in full by their knowledgeable staff and... More

Well...here goes. As those who do review my responses, I always start them with “Dear reviewer”; or “Thank you for your comments” Neither of which I shall use upon this occasion. Tripadvisor, as I have said in many revues, is a valuable tool for potential clients to assess a potential venue and often serves as the first point of contact... More

Had my wedding here for August bank holiday, and it was simply perfect. The staff were amazing and attentive, the food was local sourced and to die for and the grounds simply stunning, if you are looking for a wedding venue than look no further you have found it.
