The finest place to stay in Scotland and great food friendly service would come back anyday so friendly are the staff had us crying with laughter. The food was excellent and plenty of choice. A warm and friendly atmosphere exactly what you want from a village pub

We spent a lovely evening here, such a great atmosphere and a great buzz in the place. The barman (sorry if you're the owner!) could not have been nicer, despite the place being jam-packed full when we arrived, having not booked. He did let us know that our food would take a while, but we were more than happy just... More

A fantastic little pub. We were staying at Comlomgon Castle and didn't fancy the evening meal menu there. This pub was 15 minutes walk from the castle. The food was gorgeous - the crispy chilli beef was amazing and my husband had chicken and haggis with peppercorn sauce, which he really enjoyed. The staff were welcoming and friendly - we... More

Thank you for your kind words, we're glad you enjoyed your meal. We are a small family run business and its very re-assuring for our staff and ourselves to know that people are enjoying what we have to offer. We hope you enjoyed your stay in the area and look forward to seeing you again sometime. Colin Pearson Owner More

Had a great nights stay at the farmers inn, apparently there was a thunder storm during the night and I didn't hear a thing it was that comfy, the rooms were spotless clean and practical, perfect for an overnight, the bar is quant but the staff are nice and locals too, breakfast was lovely too and set me off nicely... Myself, husband, 2 yr old son and nana visited here today. We had checked out trip advisor first and weren't sold on the reviews but felt it was only fair to try for ourselves. Firstly the lady who served us our drinks was very friendly and welcoming. We ordered quite quickly and felt there was a very good selection. We... More

Food was ok & no major complaints. Longer wait than expected but cant complain. Price was fair for what we had. Customer service - felt uncomfortable & as if we were not welcome. Completely understand we all have off days, however a small, local pub, never mind anywhere you would expect customer service, it's sad to feel unwelcome & as... More

So, table of 4 arrived seconds before us. Then us 4 (2 adults, 2 kids), then 20 mins later an older couple. That was it, nobody else in pub. Table of 4 order staters, mains, pud. We order only mains. Older couple order. Table of 4 get starters, plates taken away. Table of 4 then get mains. No food for... More

Well this is the first time in about 30 years in this industry that I've been called an"owner dude" ! Perhaps the "reviewer dudes" had been sampling the festive spirits before submitting their review ? Unfortunately they conveniently forgot to explain that they ordered drinks and dithered about for 20/25 minutes before they eventually decided to order. We are not... More

Quiet location, Colin should be on mastermind - his specialist subject Whiskey Distilling. Also to be commended on his excellent choice of Marmalade! Room was very clean and warm with really decent shower.
