We were down bird watching and decided to stay at the Farmers Inn - only place to stay or eat in the village. Not expensive and the accommodation is good basic level - clean, spacious, plenty of storage and loads of hot water from excellent shower, able to park right outside the door of our room. Very convenient for Castle... More

Stopped here for an evening meal and were greeted by friendly staff. Plenty of choice on the menu and we weren't disappointed. Portions were huge and of good quality and value. Big choice of desserts also, but we were so full we shared one between us. A great traditional pub.

We spent a lovely evening here, such a great atmosphere and a great buzz in the place. The barman (sorry if you're the owner!) could not have been nicer, despite the place being jam-packed full when we arrived, having not booked. He did let us know that our food would take a while, but we were more than happy just... More

A fantastic little pub. We were staying at Comlomgon Castle and didn't fancy the evening meal menu there. This pub was 15 minutes walk from the castle. The food was gorgeous - the crispy chilli beef was amazing and my husband had chicken and haggis with peppercorn sauce, which he really enjoyed. The staff were welcoming and friendly - we... More
