We went to the Lodge in August for a long weekend in Devon. The weather was beautiful and when we arrived at the hotel we where shown to our room. We where in room 9, on the top floor. It was huge, and for £45 we could have slept 6 people in there, with en-suite and sky tv, that is... More

We stayed as 2 families in the cottage. Very homely and clean. Can't beat it with 5 kids running around. Very modern and useable kitchen. Hot showers all around. All the furniture seem new. Mark said that he has done up the cottage just this year. Having our own kitchen meant we could snack all day long and get drinks... More

We booked two nights but left after the first. When we first arrived the man assumed we were someone else that he had been speaking to on the phone and even argued with us when we said who we were. The room was comfortable enough but the en-suite was a bit poky. In the night there was a fracas in... More

The hotel is an ideal base to enjoy the South Devon area. The accomodation is clean, bright, and very comfortable. The Staff ( especially mine host) treated us like family in the best possible way. The food was extemely good; we had planed to eat out for some evening meals, but we enjoyed the food and company that much that... More

Excellent choice of restaurant in Malborough. My husband and I ate in Saints restaurant recently and had a top quality meal, in lovely surroundings, served by a man who knows hows to run a restaurant. We couldn't choose which starter to have so I ordered the Portobello mushroom with goats cheese and my husband the smoked salmon terrine and we... More

3rd visit to the Lodge Hotel. Mark made us very welcome. Had same room as previous visit (Room 5) usual very high standard. Our key was waiting for us as we were not sure what time we would be booking in having spent the day in Salcome. Booked a 2 night stay, had a reduction for the 2nd night as... More

This was our 2nd experience dinning at the Saints restaurant & bar, and just as before we were not dissapointed. We booked a table for 4 of us on a fri evening just to be safe, and when we arrived we were greeted with a very warm welcome from the proprieters. We declined on drinks in the lounge area before... My wife and I stayed at the Lodge for two nights in April 2010. We were both very impressed by the whole experience - welcoming, spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished, excellent breakfast (probably the best hotel breakfast we have enjoyed for a long time). The service, at all times, was efficient, friendly and helpful. We would recommend the Lodge wholeheartedly to... More

Have Stayed at the Lodge previously. Has been under new management for 12 months. Very clean and comfortable room. Full breakfast not included in room price £5.95 extra but was made aware when booking room. We chose a twin bedded room at front of building. Roomy and very comfortable beds. Very clean throughout. We were warned that a party was... More
