Good hotel with friendy and informative staff. The breakfast was excellent and dinner was really good on both nights. Prices are reasonable. The wine list has plenty to go at for anyone into their vino!!! The only reason for a gripe is our room could have done with with an update and the TV was incredibly small! That said, we... More

Really lovely hotel, plenty of parking, great room, superb food, friendly helpful staff. The fish counter in the restaurant is fabulous, and you can choose your meal from the wonderful display and all at a very reasonable price. WOuld love to return.

Huge car park makes a pleasant start.Friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms. First class food both at dinner and breakfast. I went on business but have booked to take my wife on a leisure break. Highly recommended.

We as a family went on a Friday night . The bar and restaurant was busy and had a very good vibe . The food display was excellent . A very good choice of fish. The pricing was a little expensive but worth it . Good choice of wines and beers . I think we will be using the Priory... More

Great place to stay and eat, food is amazing. Pick your own cut of meat or fish is a new experience and a fun one The only drawback is the traffic is quite loud as there is no double glazing but it is an old Priory so it's forgiven.

Visited for Sunday lunch; unusual place in that from the outset it looks like an olde world establishment but inside it is 'all prolific blackboard graffiti menus', there is a big pick-a-fish counter and it is kind of self-service.....but.....it works! The place was busy, the service was efficient and the food was superb. Sunday dinners are always a difficult challenge... More

we have visited twice in the last month with different people, and have had lovely meals both times. Much of the fresh ingredients are out on display for you to choose, so it can be a great experience. On the down side, you can be asked too often if everything is okay. My particular gripe was the half cups of... More

We stayed here for one Saturday night recently and had dinner in the restaurant. The hotel is extremely welcoming with lovely gardens. The bar staff are very friendly. The restuarant was very full that night but the service was excellent and the food very good. The room was adequate with a lovely comfortable bed. Breakfast was OK but was missing... More

We stayed for one night in an annexe cottage but really a prefab. The bathroom is excellent but the room is drab and in need of updating. Reception and restaurant staff are very welcoming and attentive. The selection of fish for dinner is excellent but the Welsh lamb was disappointing and tasteless. Full English breakfast was plentiful but again lacking... More

We have often eaten at the Priory and it never disappoints. This visit was a special birthday so we booked a room and stayed on the DBB rate. Great value for money, enchanting room and excellent food. The only reason for rating it a 4 rather than a 5 was that the room was cold. You can adjust the temperature... More
