this was a treat given the town is not really a tourist centre and there are not that many places to stay. You are right in the centre of town and can walk anywhere. The hacienda itself has been accurately described by the other reviewers - authentic and welcoming. We enjoyed the ruins near the entrance to town and had... More

We met the owner, Maria del Rosario Sagun, who welcomed us at our arrival. We loved the place, it is a XIX house, and every detail is taken in account. The staff was very friendly. They gave us directions to go to la presa and places to visit in Mascota. We stayed only one night, and I slept like a... More

We had a wonderful stay here December 2011. The people were friendly and tried hard to accommodate us and share information about the area and the interesting history of the hotel. The decor was really nice and appropriate to the period. It's an easy walk to the main plaza and the Cathedral. The breakfast was leisurely but very tasty and... More

The staff at Meson de Santa Elena were excellent and made our stay there wonderful. We had originally booked a large downstairs room with high ceilings, but changed to an upstairs room with a sunny and warm balcony. The breakfasts are wonderful, cooked to order and tasty. They are served in the very pleasant interior courtyard. Two downsides - Spanish... More

this was a comfortable spot, an old colonial villa, open-air courtyards and nice touches throughout. This is a nice place for more modest Moscota. the rooms are very nice, the service was done with a smile, and breakfasts were good. The breakfasts contained granola with yogurt followed by Mexican eggs or eggs of any other type. You also had fresh... More

We stayed here in 2000. After driving up from PV we decided to stay in Mascota. Meson de Santa Elena took us in without a reservation and we had two of our most treasured vacation days. Great service, beautiful breakfasts, a pleasure in every way. We loved this place. The museum in Mascota is a must - we had a... More

This B&B was a delight, in the mountains just a 2 1/2 hr drive from PV. Meson de Santa Elena is one of the Historic Haciendas and Casonas of Mx. We decided to stay in the "middle" town between Talpa and San Sebastian, but had no idea 2 nights wouldn't be enough to experience all there was to do in... More
