After entering this Tharu village, you will wish you could stay longer. Sukram, Paro, and the villagers will capture your heart in this community. It is a rustic, throwback, authentic way of living, that makes you appreciate the simple gestures in life. There is plenty to do whether it's henna, ox riding, elephant and jungle rides, to playing with the... More

Wow! Best part of my Nepal holiday was coming here. I wanted to really experience life like a villager and immerse myself in their way of life and was not disappointed. Sukram and the girls picked me up in the ox cart for the brief journey to Gothauli village. I was greeted by the whole family and felt like royalty... More

After a tiring 10-day trek around the Annapurna mountain range , I arrived in Chitwan and was immediately overwhelmed by the peace and beauty of the countryside. Once arrived in the Tharu 20for7 village , I was warmly welcomed by the locals. The architectural style of the cottage appealed to me tremendously . New Year celebration with the uncles and... More

This homestay is the best experience we could have had during our stay in Nepal with our family including our two boys (age 9 and 10). We fell in love with the Chitwan region and this little village just outside the touristic bubble of Sauharo. It started with a relaxed ride with the ox car after 6 hours in a... More

Me and my brother where in Kathmandu and wanted a place to stay for the night so we could visit the Chitwan national park, we looked on Trip for a place to stay and found this place relying on the rating without looking to much into the information, I called the number and indicated that we would be 2 persons... If you like your fancy hotels, then this is not the place for you. If however you want to get away from those things and enjoy an authentic experience immersed in the village culture, then this is the place for you. You can do everything you would otherwise do in the Chitwan region, but based in a village not far... More

Our visit began with a slight mix up on the pick up, but all was sorted and we were welcomed as family into this wonderful Tharu village. We learnt the way of life of the villagers, how to cook a dhal baat and best yet, came away with new friendships. Witnessed the birth of new goats too! A pleasant surprise.... More

We had a great stay! Forget all the resorts, in the tharu-village we felt like a member of this great family. Sukram, Paro and sita made our stay one to never forget. I can't recommend this guesthouse enough if you like a authentic experience. I will remember those nice people for the rest of my life. Oh yeah: we saw... More

I feely so fortunate to have discovered this project. We stayed 4 months ago and we still reminisce about the wonderful experience we had. We found Tharu 20for7 on trip advisor and there were only a few reviews, so looked up more detail on the project on their own website. The experience started as soon as we arrived at the... More
