Stayed here for our anniversary. Lovely b&b, nice quirky room with the 4 poster bed and antiques. Breakfast was really lovely and would stay again and recommend here. Local pub is a must, bargain price for drinks.

Room was furnished in an old fashioned way, however the 4 poster bed we had fitted in lovely! Huge room and bathroom with tea and coffee making facilities. Only minor thing was there was some brown gunk/dried up coffee in a champagne glass, we didn't use these so it wasn't a problem. Breakfast the next morning was lovely, lots of... More

A home from home. After an extended trip to the peak district we found a fantastic little bed and breakfast in Elton. On arrival chris was very welcoming and showed us around. The cottage was a great size, kitchen two bedrooms lounge and bathroom. Well decorated and clean. We booked a table at the Red Lion pub just up the... More

We stayed in the family suite of this large attractive period house. I was a little apprehensive about the four poster bed but need not have been as it was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was huge with a large bath. Just what is needed after a long hike. Our hosts were friendly and helpful the setting in the heart of... More

This is a great B&B, especially for a family. The house has a really interesting history, is filled with interesting objects and furniture and the hosts, Jenny & Chris are very welcoming. We had the family room/suite with a double antique four-poster bed + two singles + sitting room area then a separate room with another 2 singles where the... More

We booked the family room and were a little disappointed with it. It smelled stale and was hard to heat with a small fan heater . We were not impressed with breakfast and felt a little unnerved at being spied on an having a smoke in the street outside. Won't be going again for sure!

Booked the family suite for a get together with mother and siblings - perfect arrangement of beds and rooms for a great price. It's the little touches that are appreciated (e.g. a full jar of coffee in the room rather than those mean little sachets). Highly recommended.

We booked last minute on the way from the north west highlands. More than accommodating, they advised us on the best pubs to have dinner in and a drink only a couple of miles away for food and nearly next door for a drink. The room had a lovely 4 poster bed with 2 singles as well, t.v., tea, coffee,... More

We booked the family suite on this visit which has an antique four poster bed and 2 single beds in one room, also two single beds in a separate adjoining room with its own hall way which has lockable door and bathroom with electric shower etc..and yet again was treated to a wonderful stay. The whole experience from the beautifully... More
