We booked last minute on the way from the north west highlands. More than accommodating, they advised us on the best pubs to have dinner in and a drink only a couple of miles away for food and nearly next door for a drink. The room had a lovely 4 poster bed with 2 singles as well, t.v., tea, coffee,... More

We booked the family suite on this visit which has an antique four poster bed and 2 single beds in one room, also two single beds in a separate adjoining room with its own hall way which has lockable door and bathroom with electric shower etc..and yet again was treated to a wonderful stay. The whole experience from the beautifully... More

My first visit was lovely, so was so excited to come back again. The rooms are lovely, a four poster with two single beds, a lovely warm inviting room, also the room I stayed in was a room with two single beds, TV and tea facilities, what more do you need! We loved it! The bathroom was shared with one... More

Big room, comfortable but a tad cold. Bathroom a bit basic and out of the room. Otherwise a treasure house of collectables including some amazing clocks. The breakfast was great and the hosts friendly. Location good and whilst not perfect we would go back like a flash!

Definitely one of the best B&Bs we have ever stayed in : fantastic double room with 4-poster bed, filled with other antique furniture (mirrors ; lamps ; candle-holders ; wardrobe ; chest of drawers ; etc) ; top notch Full English Breakfast, with loads of other choices especially for veggies ; very friendly owners, Jenny and Chris ; excellent location.... We booked just for one night for the two of us, and on arrival (it is just off the main road where the pub is) the owner was outside gardening and expecting us. Our room for 2 was actually a fairly substantial flat! Main room had a 4 poster bed, 2 singles, sofa and chairs, TV, coffee and tea and... More

We stayed here as the first leg of a long journey around the UK and were so happy with the venue and our hosts. The bike was locked away in an outhouse, so we didn't have to take off all the luggage, and as the hosts are used to dealing with fell walkers they are also ready to deal with... More

We only stayed for one night and wished it was longer. Stayed in the 4-poster room and had a great sleep. Full English breakfast the next day was substantial and well cooked. Owners were very friendly and helped us with routes. The pub over the road is untouched and very special. The whole village is lovely, relaxing and feels far... More

When trying to book a double room for two nights I advised them that the Peak District tourist board website showed £60 per person for the two nights (so £120 in total) but he insisted on his website it was £32 a night therefore £128. He then said he was in the middle of his dinner and it was only... More

Stayed for two nights in May. Lovely guest house, good accommodation. Family suite bed and breakfast was very suitable to our needs with two separate bedrooms and its own bathroom. Breakfasts were tasty and generous, situated in a very quiet area, with other towns and villages close by. Our family of 4 really enjoyed our stay.
